What's my car worth? 04 TL
I guess this is the right section of the board for this post....I was wondering if anyone knows from experience what my car would be worth as a for sale by owner, not a trade or dealer sale.
It is: an 04 TL non nav, auto
White diamond with grey (quartz?) interior
53k miles
new tires 2500 miles on them
never wrecked or smoked in with the mods listed in my sig.
I was thinking 18-20k....Is that reasonable?

Forgot to mention bumpers were repainted by dealer and I have a trimking lip for it as well.

A used car salesman that i used to know once told me: "there's an ass for every seat". Meaning, your car will sell for the right price once you find the right owner.

That is a lot of miles though...10,000 miles per year over the high average. Good luck to you!

Kyle, The more accurate prices will come from here.

KBB and the rest seem to give an unrealistic price. When you get to the dealer, or you start dealing with selling it yourself, you will find it easier to price it. This way you won't get shocked when they start the process.

being able to prove it was properly maintained (providing receipts and other documentation) may help with the mileage issue. it may not get you more money for the car but should help seal the deal with prospective buyers. it would be important to me as a buyer. also, your location may cause you some issues as alot of cars from your part of the country have been under water recently. resale values vary quite a bit depending on the region anyway, so what a good price is in my area does not have much bearing on the price in your area.
I was looking for a used 3G when I bought my new one, but there were few in my area and they were too much money. it would also help you to search locally to see what other similar TLs are offered for within say, 200 miles of you location.
if your car is in excellent condition with the mods you describe, I would think $20K would be easily attainable. in my area, I would start higher. it helps if you have time to sit on it for a while...a modified car like yours may take the right person to appreciate and value the modifications.

I will get those together if I decide to put it up for sale.
