What's a good brand for Brakes and Rotors
I need new brakes for my 2008 TL b/c when I brake hard or from high speeds the peddle shakes and it seems like the pads are catching on the rotors because maybe their warped. I've seen a lot of brands and a lot of mixed opinions. What are some pads and rotors you guys have installed and enjoyed? Sadly I don't have the brembo calibers but thinking of buying a pair in the future.

I didn't replaced pads/rotors on my TL yet. From my experience in the shop, Wagner seems to be all right. We didn't had single brake job warranty on those so far. But then they are more expensive, making them less popular.
What I can say is to stay away from ProStop (Pepboys)(they like to squeak and wear really quick), or other brands with Pro, Ultra, Ulti, Max, etc. in name.
Don't go cheap and buy both pads and rotors, and clean hub.
Make sure than you can collapse calipers (use screwdriver), to check if the guide pins are frozen.

Blank rotors: Pick a brand. They all work fine. I like Centric.
GOOD pads. Spend your effort/money on pads.
My recommendations:
Stoptech Sport.
Hawk HPS (not HP+ !!)
Bed the pads in properly!! Read the box or instructions that come with the box.

It's already been said, but StopTech rotors are what we always recommend!
We typically recommend the Street Performance or Posi-Quiet pads to go with them (one of our Acurazine brake packages), but a lot of our euro customers run the Akebono pads and are very happy with them, our service writer also uses them on his own car; he said they're his favorite pad yet.
Feel free to send me a PM for pricing, or find us online here: Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist - Homepage

Oh Thank God!! If we didn't have yet another brake/rotor thread, I would be lost...
I guess the search function isn't working or Google search is on the blink?
