I've been doing research here and there and can't find any vids of any of the TL's on the track? Thoughts?

We're talking about a four door family sedan which started life as a Honda Accord; I'm trying to figure out who would care.

If the year is 2004 then I would be concern about performance time, but its 2020 now even a Hyundai can poop on the our car. 3G TL isn't fast anymore (yes even the Type S MT) it still slow compare to modern industry V6 car. a 2020 civic SI with a tune can really give a Type S run for it money lol.
Pro
Track Time? My 07' Type S has been beaten by a KIA Turbo taking off from a traffic light. These things are slow boats, I'd forget about Track Times.

Perfect.

Racer
If you're talking acceleration times, go find some old magazine articles from the mid-2000s. Even then those figures are pretty meaningless - I've drag raced my TL exactly zero times and I've dropped the clutch to launch it exactly zero times, so who cares about numbers on paper?

sorry but TL isn't built for 1/4 miles, low 14s might be fast back in the early 2000 but now every one else (stock) dip into 12-13 secs range.

I think you've been drinking too much 3G TL Kool-Aid. Like it or don't, believe it or not, the 3G TL is a very good car, however, it is in many aspects, inferior to more contemporary and more pedestrian cars.Originally Posted by Nick Preston

As engine technology continuously improves, auto manufacturers are capable of squeezing more and more power out of smaller engines, while also making them more efficient.
Our cars are over a decade old. Some of us closer to two decades. A modern fusion with an ecoboost engine over 2 litres would spank my TL.

Dude above is even discounting a 65hp and 150 ft*lb difference like it's nothing

This. My Fusion is down half a liter compared to my TL but turbos are a wonderful thing so it's faster.Originally Posted by TheSauceBoss

I guess we all can agree. 3g TL in stock form are slow comparing to current contemporary I4 Turbo or V6 that offer in the market. The only thing I found my TL to be faster is the civic SI from the same era lmao...

What @Nick Preston doesn't seem to get is, there is ALWAYS a faster car. Long story short, if a car is fast enough, then it is fast enough, and nobody gives a rat's hind parts how fast it could be in relative terms.

My 07 TL type s 6mt went a best of 13.9 @ 100. Not bad for a heavy sedan but I was just curious and will never go back to the track with that car. But it is still very fun and great to look at
