My buddy went to a tint shop to get his truck tinted and he asked about my car 04 TL. The guy at the shop said that the new TL's come with 50% tint already on the windows. I can see that the windows do have a tint to them, but is it really 50%? I live in VA and wanted to get them darker, but 50% is the state limit for the front passenger windows. What do you guys think? And yes I did a search and couldn't find any info.

 

My tinter told me that it's between 70 - 85% he did not use the meter though.

 

I used a meter on my '02 TL-S and the windows were 75% from the factory. I doubt the '04s are much darker than that.
