What are your insurance rate for a Type-S (Under 25)?

Just curious. consider buying a type-S as a first car but would just like to know what a few different insurance rate are. I know it varies from person to person but if you are under 25 and an owner of a type -s, please feel free to share yours

bach, there are so many factors in determining insurance rates; its not even funny.

you would have to have some one exactly like you; so you would need to change your parameters.
you'll need to look for some who is the same exact age as you.
you will also need to look for some one with the same exact driving record as you.
you will also need to look for some one with the same exact credit score as you.
you will also need to look for some one with the same exact location as you.
and so on and so on.

this is why if you notice; two insurance companies will give you two rates.
obviously, pick the lowest rate.

shop around. this is part of being an adult.

I also suggest not to lie to your agent.
they have all your information pulled up on a computer screen and can see driving records.

also, figuring out insurance rates, gas prices, securing a loan is all apart of buying a car.
all this needs to be done by you by calling around before you even look at a car

so, you can have an idea on how much your monthly expenses are going to be.
I know the internet is the easy way out, but there is no easy way out on car buying.

does a type-s have higher rates than an equal value non-type-s? I assume rim theft would be part of the reason for that.

Try Esurance out. I'm 21 and have full coverage for $60 a month. They were at least $100 cheaper than every other company I called, and I called every big name insurance company possible. State Farm and Progressive wanted like $1,300 every 6 months, not happening! haha

It should. More sporty, More HP, plus more expensive parts.

this is not a very good science experiment to compare.

you have to have a control group and a variable group.
we dont have a control group but we have a variable group!!!

you need both groups to have a valid comparison.
we only have one of the two.

Justnspace is correct. It doesnt matter what we pay. If you know it varies why start a pointless thread? Its too many factors to consider. Cant even get an accurate baseline.

I was 22 when I got mine, and I got insurance through State Farm. I lived in Hollywood, Florida, and from what I can tell, State Farm doesn't differentiate between Type-S and base. I paid $128 for full coverage. Almost a year later (3 months ago), I moved further south and the price jumped to $200, so before the time came for me to make that payment, I switched to GEICO, and I'm paying $140 for full coverage. A little more, but better than the potential cost of staying with State Farm.

Esurance quoted me at $400 for full coverage, and I said "fuck that". Of course, different location, different factors.
