hey guys

so I'm thinking about jumping on the group buy for the aspec kit for 799 from JR @ honda acura world...what have you guys been paying for the aspec kit install from acura dealers MINUS the suspension? (Only the front and rear skirts and side skirts)...

I sprung for the 100k/5yr extended warranty when I bought the car so I wanted to have acura install it...

do you guys know anyone cheap in the LI area? I'm waiting for Island Acura to call me back and I will call Smithtown Acura (where I bought my Ac) once I can go in armed with a price...

Not to thread jack, but the 06 models had their warranties extended due to a class action lawsuit.
They upped the mileage.

really? to what? I didn't know it was extended? this includes people who BOUGHT their acuras? I bought mine...april 06

If I remember correctly I was quoted $400. Just install the kit yourself. There is a really good DIY in the 3G Garage.

You can do it ur self, and save some $$$, very easy, look in the 3G garage..

Something like 5% There was a class action suit about various honda products overstating their mileage.

how long would it take to self install? is it just a matter of unscrewing and screwing in bolts?

I can help you with that install for a few bucks. I have a friend that works at an acura dealer and he does all my mods for me. I'll connect you with him. My gift, since your interested in joining the group buy that I inquired about which will help me get my kit at 799

I just don't have lifts or anything...and plus, I'd rather someone else do it

^ You don't need to lift the car to install the kit. Give it a shot yourself first, see how far you get.

Me, personally, I consider myself a to clumbsy to do any automotive work, even though I have a working knowledge about cars. I always have someone else do my work that way I can yell at them for screwing up.

But beware someone bought the A-spec kit from HondaAcuraWorld, and then they went to an Acura dealer to install and they did a horrible job on the install. Then when the kid went to complain the dealer said the body kit had the wrong measurements and that had the kid bought the kit from the dealer the install would have been better. I think a body shop would be better suited for the install. Just get a copy of the DIY and ask if they can do it for you.
