What would you offer?
Potentially joining the Acura fold and trying to get smart on values fast in order to make an offer. Yes, I saw the prices paid threads but appreciate expert opinions on specific car:
'07 CBP TL w/Navi, 5AT, 31.5K miles.
Car is CPO from dealer in Northeast, 7% sales tax (for any OTD considerations), asking price is $25,750.
Please no super macho lowball advice. Dealer is close/convenient. Like the car well enough (though the wife dislikes the color). Want opinions on what the opening offer or final price should be based on today's market in order to get a fair deal done.
Thanks a ton in advance.

Were you looking at Acura of Ocean?
If you look at the listings for the '07 CPO vehicles in the NE, they range from $23K to $29K, so it all depends on the dealer, as they will only go so low. Take a look at the car and any imperfections have then fixed, body damage, wheels with curbbage, etc. Pay attention to the wheels as they may have some damage, if so, have them (wheels and tires) swapped from another TL without damage. If everything is good to go, have then throw in the extended warranty if you intend on keeping the car for a while. If you're going to trade it in in a few years, it would be money wasted. As the warranty would cost you around $1000, that would be helpfull, but if the warranty is not wanted, hit them with a $1000 less than the asking price. Start @24000.
Just be happy and content with the price you pay as someone will always say you paid too much.
Good luck.

In my mind, anything under the asking price is a better deal than when you first looked at the car, so assuming everything is in top condition, fair price. Make certain the tires are quality tires on the TL and that they have decent tread. The CPO program dictates that they have substantial tread depth, but we all know that the depth and tire quality is controversial.
