What would you do to a TL-S with 4-5k?

Ok so I have the new 2007 TL-S. It is NBP and an AT.

I'm wondering what kind of mods you guys would do with around 4-5k to spend.

The TL-S is completely stock so rims and tires would be nice. Mods don't have to be performance-based, appearance is good too.

I do not want to sacrifice any comfort or clearance left in the suspension by upgrading to sport suspension. All ideas wanted. I'm not sure exactly how much I want to do to the car but I was wondering what would be on the top of your list.

Probably the best rims I have seen on a TL yet, this is a picture taken from another member on the forums you should definitely look at the tires, rims and suspension section of the forums for some rim and tire ideas and pictures.

I think rims would look nice, especially since you have the type-S which has the underbody kit.

those rims are pretty sick, i've been debating the painted black vs. the chrome/alluminum look. any ideas besides just the rims?

the carbon fiber is basically covered on the interior of the TL-S and it comes with the deck lid also. the cleared headlights sound interesting. the intake also sounds like a good idea. thanks

I'd buy a cup of coffee to put in the cup holder.
Then, I'd drive to Colorado for a week or two of skiing.

Comptech Rear Sway Bar is nice if you like taking corners pretty aggressively, if you don't you shouldn't bother with it. I wouldn't recommend getting anything bigger than 18" wheels, because they'll get heavy, more expensive to replace, slow your car down, and would create a poor driving experience on bumpy roads, you would feel everything.

Like I said, get a nice set of 18" rims, new tires or use the old ones if you have the high performance yokohomas. The CAI is also a pretty cool mod to do as well, not expensive at all, and shouldn't void your warranty.

It all depends on where you want to go with your car, do you want improved handling, performance, possibly a better sound system?

Oh yeah and definitely go for removing the amber corners in your headlights, and replace the original bulb with an amber bulb.

I'm wondering the same thing - I have a White Diamond Pearl TL-S, debating on Chrome Ron Jon's -- what do you think?

This is one of the better TL with mods i've seen. It's sweet.

Nice body side moldings...

Every TL-S I've seen is riding 4x4 style. You HAVE to geta set of Tein SS coils with EDFC.

Some new wheels are nice too. That'll spend up most of your cash. Beyond that, you'll need the AV upgrades, CAI, pulley, rear sway bar.

4-4K will barely be enough. It will never end.
