it depends on what you are trying to go for....all show or all go!! i went with rims first and just recently got exhaust....def go with 19's or 20s if you dont mind rubber bands! 18s would look a bit small unless they are full faced and no lip

If you go rims, I say go 19's. But as previously mentioned, it depends on what you want: show or go?

i would love to go show first, but the thing is, arent those atlp base exhaust limited in quantity.

cause if they werent i would hop on some rims real quick.

2/2 on exhaust/rims..

oh and right on for the response guys

Tough choice, I can't decide. All I can say is that if you do get rims I would go 19s unless you are all show and don't care about performance at all then get 20s

When you remove the bumper there are like two slot's the ballast's fit perfect in on both sides near/under your headlight ballast. The two slot's are like directly to the left/right of the center of the car. Kinda hard to explain but you'll see the spot. Bulb's pop right in the stock housing.

on topic: RJ's are nice but I think there are better out there

No matter how much performance mods you do, its not like we're gonna kill an M3.. so I mean go for what gets the heads turning first.. Looks... and then branch out to performance. That's my approach.

That increase will never happen, and lets admit to this, as long as we are members to this site, we will never be done modding our cars .........

I agree! If u get 19's or 20's without a drop, it'll look lifted... But if ur not lookin to drop it, go rims before exhaust. Stock cars with exhaust don't fit as good as a car wit some nice rims! Exhaust is gonna be one of the last main mods I do. I definitely want it, but the TL's pretty ballzy as is for a sport luxury car. Finish off the look you wanna go with first, and then give her some more horses! Just a thought! Good luck with the moddin! And post some pics once you get some things rollin!

No truer words have ever been spoken. Just when you think you are happy with the way your car runs and looks, you see something else. After a while, it just creeps up on you and you've got to get it. I've done this so many times. Plus, I look at things over and over and second guess myself....am I sure I don't like this mod and why haven't I gotten it yet????

It looks better with a drop n rims but if u can afford both now go for rims n suspension

as long as u dont go too low there shouldnt be any problems

exhaust, then suspension, then wheels for a couple reasons.

1, youre going to hate it when theres not more atlp base's
2. sound and looks over performance on a non performance oriented car
3. we are lucky to have nice stock tires on a tl. dropped on stocks looks better than 4x4 on 19"s

Do 19's ... I totally disagree with the 18's comment, I sometimes think my 19's aren't big enough. Plus that rim of yours has a lip, which will make the rim appear one size smaller. 19's will look like 18's and 20's will look like 19's. I think 20's look great on a TL but depends on your driving conditions on whether or not you should do it. I know with my roads I'm asking for trouble so 19's is a good compromise.

Look through the photo gallery and make your decision, that's what its for. IMO you need to do 19's minimum or else your rim will look like 17's. Last thing you want after dropping loot. Also doing 18's or 19's without a drop will make the car look lifted, however for some reason I've seen a few TL's with 20's and no drop and I could've swore they were dropped, 20's for some reason, maybe because they fill the wheel well more, don't look too bad without a drop.
