What tint is on your 3G?

I am running the limit on my TL all around (35% tint to create a Net 30% value) and I find it perfect at night and as well in the day. It helps reduce heat by quite a bit, it gives a good amount of privacy and it doesn't impede night visibility at night.
However, on my accord I have 35% front, 20% rear and I find that at night it can be a bit challenging with the 20% seeing out the back window esp. when reversing.
With whatever value you choose, make sure you go with a good brand like Llumar, Formula 1 or the king of tint, Huper Optik! Make sure that the tint is CERAMIC tint and not METALLIC otherwise it will interefere with the nav antenna among other things.
and just one last tip, make sure that the tinter tints the 1/4 windows in the rear all the way and doesn't leave a 1/4 strip at the end because of the gasket. Some tinters use something thin like a credit card to get it all the way to the back, others take out the window and tint it, but the lazy tinters leave a that 1/4 gap.

5% rears with 15% (meter read 14% when I got my ticket on the way home tonight) on the D&P.
Got a $127.50 ticket tonight on the way home because I didn't have my GFs exemption with me. She is allowed to have 15% or lighter and "frequently drives my car" wink wink nudge nudge.
SO I get to go to court on the 14th of July to have a judge dismiss the ticket due to the exemption. He also gave me a warning for my tinted plate covers. Silly LEOs...

If you're concerned about being pulled over, why not go a bit darker in the back (I have 15%) and as I did, 50% up front (side windows, not the windshield). It still looks great, I don't get pulled over as there is a visible difference between the back and front. I really wanted tint for the UV protection/blockage from the sun. Works great and looks great. Also, depending where you are, an installer called Shades of Gray In PA does great work.

I have 5% tint strip on the front windshield, 20% on the front windows, and then 5% on the rear passenger windows and back window. I think it looks good like that, and I do not have any trouble seeing out of it at night. I would have done 5% all the way around, but I put 20% up front so I could see better at night.

I'm in Florida and I have 15% All around FTW Except for the Windshield. I'm thinking of throwing 50% or Higher on the windshield just to reduce the UV rays and Sun Glare. It is Illegal to tint the front windshield here but like I said FTW.... Legal is 35% Front windows and 15% Back windows.
Wow what a beautiful car. Id ;ove those wheels in gm w/ polished lip.

Theres nothing shady about it. If you're from the San Francisco area (like I am), homeless people will punch your windows out for having a sweater/jacket/blanket in your car. Much less anything worth some value.

I'm not sure about the 70% in PA thing. I live around Philly and my wife's Accord was tinted by a legit shop to the legal limits (per them) 20% rear and 35% on the sides. She's never been pulled over in two years. I'm going to do something similar on my "new" Type-S.
My Jeep Commander is factory solar glass which is around 35% and I've never been pulled over in two years...

Man...I'm considering 35% all around vs. 15% all around. Those are the two tints offered at shops around the area here.
It's tough though because I have the beige (toupe) interior so I don't want it to be brighter than it needs to be, but also don't want to look like a thug. Thoughts ?

35% on RRP. I am pass the "hide me" or "can't see in" stage also...LOL. To be honest I think it is almost dangerous to have really dark tint if you drive much at night. On the flipside if you live in a really hot climate it can be a godsend.

Here in SC, legal is 27%, back home (california) its like 35% on the back and you weren't allowed to put ANY tint on the front windows.
That's absolutely correct; There may be minimal interference with lighter tint, but I've definitely heard of people having some funky issues with tints other than ceramic.
Heres some better pictures of my '08 6MT CBP Type-S with 20% ceramic all the way around (except window shield):

Take in mind, its already in the 90's here (with 100% humidity, heat index of 100+), and the sun is sweltering. Still really hard to see in :-D.

I'm getting mine done in a week or so. I can't decide if I want to go 35% or 50% all around. Is the difference between the two pretty significant? I don't want to go any darker than 35% but didn't know if 50% would be too light. What's the rating on OEM tinted glass (i.e. SUV's/Minivans)?
