What should I do with my trans?

Bought my 05 Base 5AT a few months ago, i have no service records for it so im acting like nothing has ever been done on my transmission maintenance wise. I have no problems with it but it shifts a little harsh and id like it to be smoother. I am getting ready to make an order on Delray for the 3rd and 4th pressure switches, do you guys change the cartrige filter when you do those? Im guessing why not if its cheap and easy to change. Also what should i do about the ATF? Btw im at 135K.

Yes to the filter change. It's ~$10......here is the link for the DIY.

I plan to try Redline D4 in my AT......

+1 on changing the filter but also flush (not the machine) the fluid out using about 12qts with any compatible brand of fluid (honda, valveline, amsoil, ect...).

I was a bit shock that a few people questioned about my flush but appearantly nobody flushes their transmission fluid. It does not take much effort to take out the hose located at the filter fitting (with banjo bolt) and drain it.

Change the filter, change the switches, change the fluid, and drive like an old asian woman.

I would introduce the new fluid slowly over a period of time. Do not shock the 134k mile trans with all new fluid. 1X3 at each oil change is good. Switches and filter for sure. I did not like mine with 99% redline type F. Prefer a mixture of type F and DW-1. 3 quarts out.... 3 quarts in

Sounds about right so ok i'll just drain 1 quart and add a quart of redline then do the same a couple months after until its all new fluid. The tranny takes 3 quarts right?

^ ~3 quarts at a time. That's why it's recommended for a 3X3, so that's 3 quarts each change. 9 quarts total.
