What should I do?

hello everyone, I recently bought a 2005 Acura TL with a little over 108,000 km. the problem started on the highway home from work one day when I passed someone and had to immediately stop on the side because it wouldn't shift into 5th and it was just revving. I turned the car off and it was fine afterwards. That was 2 weeks ago and I have been nice to it ever since. Just today I was driving home from the shop and at a red light at an intersection I decided to do some tip tronic shifting for a change. When I put it into "M" it just stayed in "D". I drove like this for a bit and suddenly the "D" light started blinking and the check engine light came on. I was looking through the receipts tonight and saw the receipt for a transmission rebuild(warranty 1 year/20,000 km), my question is should I take it to the shop for the warranty or take it to Acura first in case it's a sensor or something quick to fix? I need my car for work and it being gone for a while would be an inconvenience. I've had this car for 2 weeks and already a bad problem. Any help is appreciated.

Usually when the "D" starts blinking, your transmission is either going to shit, or you might have to get it serviced.
On my 02 TL-S, the "D" started to blink so I got the transmission replaced, but the transmission just wasn't the same anymore. It would lag or just not catch gears.

Solution for me: Sold it.

That what the manual says, take it in!

Dude, you bought this 2 weeks ago and you didn't know you had a trans with a warranty?? Oh, boy. It may not be a transferable warranty. Call the seller first.
