Question What are recent purchasers paying for their TLs?

I originally was going to look at getting a used TL, but from looking on Edmunds.com, etc it looks like people are getting great deals on new 2007 TLs since the '08s are out. For those who have bought new '07 TL w/Nav within the past few weeks, what are you paying? I thought I could just this during negotiations. Edmunds says people in my area are paying $32,860. Wondering if I could even get a little down from that. Thanks for helping a newbie!! Hopefully I'll be an Acura owner within the next week!!

I would, but it's becoming harder and harder to find a 6MT in combos I'd like

SO tempted... I currently have a '05 TSX 6MT Nav, and now I'm trying to decide if I should just wait it out a little bit longer to see what the TSX and TL redesigns are like...

Btw, to the OP --- if you're in the NJ/NY/PA or MD areas, PM me, and I'll hook you up with my contacts.

I envy you guys and your low prices in the U.S. Up here in Canada that car is maybe $43,000 USD or something. I would have got one for sure.

I'm actually in Arizona. There are three dealerships in the area that I can go to so hopefully I can get one of them to give me a good deal. I was at one a few days ago who was eager to make a deal on a used one. They actually said they are dying to make deals so hopefully they will be willing to deal on an '07.

For anyone that's looking to buy an '07, I saw on Edmunds that there is currently a $2500 Manufacturer to dealer cash for "marketing support." So that may be something that you can use to bring down the price a little more.

where do all these people live where the TL-S only costs 33,000. I live in Van Nuys and the base TL costs exactly that much. I paid 43,000 for my TL-S and the sticker price was 38000 and i checked a few dealerships and all had the same price.

33000, for a TL-S ? WTF?

i guess yours was purchased a while back?? right now is model year end's clearance for all 2007 models. that is why 07's are goin real cheap. otherwise there would be no reason for someone to get an 07' over an 08'.

Its like 200 bucks discount from sticker for an 08 vs. 1500-2000 under invoice for an 07'...

mine was right at 34k for an 07 vs. 38 for an 08'... i went for the 07' real quick...

i guess 34-35 is the goin rate(before t,t,t) in the atlanta area...

seriously, if i could've gotten a type-S for the same price as the base, then i would've been all over that like white on rice.

It really is such a hard deal for me (and I'd imagine most people) to pass up. To be honest, I wasn't even considering trading my car "up" until I started seeing these ridiculous deals on the TL-S; my intent was to always wait and see what the new models bring... especially after hearing all the rumors and speculation on SH-AWD, etc. With the new Accord sporting all the tech of the current RL, you just hope the new Acuras will have so many more gadgets

In any event, $32.8k (which incl. destination) was the best offer I got on an '07 TL-S. I was given an offer of $36.6k on an'08 TL-S. For me, since the '08 TL-S is a carryover, it would've been a no-brainer. Sure, you'll take an immediate 1 yr depreciation hit on the '07 b/c the '08s are out, but if you're planning on keeping the car for a few years, it'll have a little less impact on your resale/trade-in value. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I just got a TL non-navi for $29.5k. Well it was $30k and they threw in a $500 tire/wheel warentee plus wheel locks and floormats. I didn't want nav because I already have a tomtom one and the Acura one is a $2500 option, which seems a bit much to me, although it has some pretty cool features, I figured it was something I could do without. I kind of wish I had looked into a TL-s since I had budgeted myself more than $30k to spend, if I had gotten as good a deal on the TL-s as some people seem to be able to find, I would have gotten that instead.

Yes, my first post !!! I bought an 07 TL-S AT (silver) from Tischer Acura here in MD three weeks ago. Paid invoice (from edmunds) and they threw in body colored splash guards, trunk tray, all weather mats and sun roof visor. I didn't have time to fight as we were heading to WDW the next day and figured with only four 07 TL-S AT left there wouldn't be any left when we got back. They only had four 07 TL-S left, 2 silver, 1 black and 1 white and the white one sold while I was test driving the one I bought. They only have two left. I thought I was getting a good deal, but from other posts I think I could have done much better. Anyway, I absolutely love this car. I (still) have my 91 Integra and 01 Accord V6 and this is a big step up. The worst thing is that my wife loves it to and we fight about who gets to drive it. We will be buying another one (an 08 TL-S AT). We will probably fight about who gets the 07. Many more posts to come. Great site !!!
btw, forgot to mention, an old man who shouldn't have been driving in a car that shouldn't have been on the road bumped us last week. Didn't do any damage, but I had to stand in front of his car and threaten to call the police for hit and run just to get him to pull over. Such is life. I wait almost seven years to buy a new car and a dumb shit rear ends me two weeks after I buy it.

Yo Mike, looks like your speading the wealth huh?!? I stopped by the dealership yesterday and they gave me the same $32,800 quote they gave you via my contact Maggie I'm trying so hard not to pull the trigger right now on trading in my 06 TSX with 7100 miles on it. I really like the TL-S and they even offered me $23k for my car. I will have no car payment though in 2 months on the TSX and to go from no payment to like $200 a month for 5 years just seems stupid to me, but we'll see.....lol

Thanks everyone for their replies, it helped a lot. I am VERY HAPPY to say that today I purchased a brand new '07 TL w/Navigation. White diamond pearl with taupe. Price was just under $32,000 (before tax, title, fees, etc) with trunk tray, pin striping, tinted windows, wheel locks, and scratch guards on the door handles and edges. I actually could have gotten a better price but I paid a little more cause I wanted a white one and I had a great experience at the dealership I bought it from compared to some others. Sometimes good customer service is worth a little more. Overall I think I did pretty well and am happy with the deal. Excited to now be part of the Acura TL owner's club!! I think I'll love it!!
