Question What To Offer For New Tl

I'm dealing with several Internet mgrs in the Houston area on purchasing a new TL auto/ no navi....nearly everyone is at 33195 and I'm thinking of offering around 31255.00 (invoice +1500)..

Is this a good starting point or would someone give me input to a better offer...I"m putting $3000 down with no trade in....

You are about right on...from my experience and following the stories of many of the people here, you should be bargaining. I think you may be starting a bit high. I have heard from many that you should expect to pay only about $750 over invoice for a non-navi. I would start a bit lower as the non-navi discounts have been pretty deep across the country

Here's what I would do:

1) Wait until Thurs, Jan. 29th.
2) Offer $500 over invoice on an non-navi.
3) Haggle with dealer.
4) Settle between $500-$1000 over invoice.
5) Enjoy new car.

Contact Gunn Auto. I was quoted this from San Antonio Internet Manager.

This is his email I got exactly so you can use it as fire power.

My name is Andrew D'Souza. I'll be your sales consultant at Gunn Acura. Thank you for your inquiry about the ACURA TL.
At Gunn we believe treating customers right is the most important part of our business and our goal is to give you a simply better way to purchase and service your automobile. We offer a haggle free environment and give everyone the same, low price in writing and upfront. It is important for you to know that I am paid a salary, not a commission. Our One Simple Price applies to the value of your trade-in as well. We give you a fair market price in writing to purchase your old vehicle and we'll honor this price even if you choose not to purchase your next auto from us. So why haggle over prices or get surprised by added hidden costs and variable trade-in values. Currently we have a few TL's in stock. They start at 31893+TT&L and that would be for either a manual or automatic transmission. If you wanted a Navigation system on your vehicle it would be an additional $2000. When would be a good time for you to come and experience the new DVD sound system and the awesome drive of Acura's newest car. What color are you interested in purchasing? If you decide to come by the dealership don't forget to mention that you are an internet customer. If you need directions or would like to set up an appointment please contact me at the numbers listed below or email me at adsouza@gunnauto.com I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Andrew D'Souza

I got mine exactly one month ago from Gillman off 45. It was 31,795 plus TT&L. I bought a 6MT, so they did not have one in stock. The best the others would give was $500 off list. But, having a written quote from someone else will help out a lot. They expect that you will cave before they will.

Carsdirect.com is offering that same car (Auto & No Navi) for $32,099 including the destination charge. Basically includes everything but sales tax & registration fees.

Go to the website copy a screenshot and e-mail that to the dealers. Tell them to beat that price, or don't waste your time.
