What mods do you wish you had done differently?

Here is my list:

1. I would have put 5000K or 4300k HIDs in my headlights instead of 6000k. (Light output sucks with 6000K)

2. I would have put 3000K HIDs in my OEM fogs instead of 6000K. (Yellow fogs are amazing in foggy weather compared to 6000K)

3. I would have put 5000K or less HIDs in my Accord Fogs. (Again 6000K light output sucks)

4. I would have gotten amber LED parking lights instead of switchbacks. (The older I get the more ricer I think switchbacks are. Not to mention they are extremely played out)

5. I would have stuck with my OEM intake.

6. I would have gotten the 07-08 front bumper instead of doing the Accord fogs. (The bigger/nicer grill would have been worth the extra bucks)

1. Rear A-Spec lip. I should have bought the Type-S rear A-Spec from the start, retrofit it, and get quad tips welded on (doesn't have to be Type-S quads).

2. 5000k interior bulbs instead of 6000k LEDs.

3. Cold Cathode license plate light instead of LEDs

Other than that, I love every mod I have (not that I have much mods)!

GP, you're making me regret purchasing LED license plate lights! I bought my car with the CAI and I'm kinda torn between it since my fender liner ripped off and it rains a lot here, but I probably would have ended buying a CAI anyways.

My biggest regret is pulling the trigger and do a full stereo upgrade when my front speakers blew out. Now I finished putting everything together about 2 months ago and I have a new sub sitting at my house waiting to be installed, I'm looking for a new amp to power the fronts and new sub, and I'm still chasing eliminating all of the grounding noise completely, on top of contemplating running my fronts active or switching to a different front stage. Makes me wish I would have just dropped a different pair of 6 1/2 in the front doors and called it a day.

Wish I wouldn't have gotten my fogs retroditted with JDM ES300 (yellow) fog lights, would have rather gotten Ford Fuzion fogs and had the option to use any bulb temp instead of only 3000K.

Installing Umnitza's Orion V2 LED angel eyes, not that I don't like them. I love them WHEN THEY WORK.

You're making me think I should just get my 10" sub in and leave it at that. I've been contemplating amping the fronts/rears too, but maybe I'll just wire in the sub and be happy.

It just sucks I keep on thinking of ways to make it better now and I'm not completely satisfied, whereas before I always thought well I'm stuck with what I got so might as well live with it. Having all the stereo hooked up has opened up so many possibilities now since I can easily switch out my amp, sub, or components no problem now since all the wiring is there to do it, wheras before I refrained since I didn't want to tear my car apart to run everything lol.

He's talking about all the money he spent on mods.

For those with a lot of mods....I actually made money when I parted out my CLs back in the day.

The Rotora 13" BBK that they discontinued a year after purchase so if it ever needs rotors, I have to also buy new calipers since the only rotor they now offer is wider. Basically I'll need a new BBK once these rotors are done. I'll never go with Rotora again.

Stereo- Should have stopped with a sub and stock speakers. My system is literally worth almost as much as the car. It's nice to listen to but there's no way I would ever dump that kind of money into a non go fast mod again.

I am assuming mod = ding, not mod = son right?

Man, everytime I see your avatar, for some reason I always think it's your son posting in this forum. I assume that is your son?

Instead of getting a cold air intake, i would have used that money into my other exhaust mods

I fear I may eventually become like you lol. I am trying to convince myself that my ears suck and that trying to upgrade will not bring them satisfaction lol, thankfully saving up for a house has kept me (for now) from jumping in the deep end of the car audio black hole, but the temptation is always there.

I think when i tried to add the courtesy lights in the front and back and i did them in blue. I havent turned them on in soooo long because now i feel the blue foot lighting doesnt fit the parchment interior. I do love the blue in the instrument cluster though.

Just upgrade your front tweets and woofers with aftermarket gear...the tweeters ESPECIALLY, you'll be thorough impressed with how much better $180 of gear can make the OE system sound!

I shouldnt have blacked out my turn signal lights under the diffuser. I painted it black, shoulda left it reflective. even with the LEDs, you cant really see them in the sun. They look sweet otherwise.

bought an aspec car, that wasn't black. that's first

then i'm upset i didn't get the 07-08 bumper when i needed mine replaced (which i need again so i'll do THAT right)

getting springs and type-s shocks instead of threaded coils, or even a perch kit.

getting an all metal shift knob instead of a leather covered one...the summer heat was much more bearable than this 'dry ice chunk' i feel like i'm holding constantly.

DM I've read your thread and I know you can do something bad ass with that. Instead of it saying "Airbag", make it say "Acura" with a different color led. Challenge presented

Don't buy less efficient speakers until a bigger amp is installed.

Don't waste your time with just coils, get coilovers.

Don't spend money having resonator deleted, wait and buy a good catback without a resonator.

Get the wheels you want, dont settle for less, dont get 18" wheels, 19s are the best IMO.

1. Not buying MT tl
2. Getting coilovers instead of going straight to an air setup.
Other than that I love everything about my car
