What if I sawed the exhaust tips off....

And added aftermarket exhaust tips onto the remaining "stumps"? Would this work? They make nice square exhaust tips that'd fit very well into those rectangular slots under the TL bumper....

WTF? isnt the bumper molded to the shape of the exhaust? wouldnt there be empty space where the side didnt flare out?

The idea is good, but if the actual tips looked like the ones on the concept, they would be a perfect fit and likely no one would want to replace them.

Some people take the term "rice" too far. I would consider changing out the exhaust tips to be styling. Rice is adding intake or exhaust and thinking somewhere in your little brain that you could actually get 50hp from 2 mods.

Exhaust and such

I am thinking about doing something with exhaust, but I definitely don't want that farting sound ricers make. I may take to someone and see what can be done as far as a cat-back system, or maybe just the mufflers. If you have an CAI, even a factory one like ours ----> power equates to airflow to an extent, and to maximize it with a CAI you need to have a free-er flowing exhaust

if its anything like other NA hondas, the headers will do more than the exhaust ever will.... Unfortunately with any exhaust upgrades you'll get some sort of increase in sound. You either get the deep throathy sound (which DRONE on highway) or you get the high raspy sound (sounds like a moped).

Needless to say on a TL i'd keep it pretty much stock. On a car this heavy I doubt a 2-3% increase in HP in a limited rpm band will do you much good.
