Ok There ON !!!

What do you guys think ???

Now the cars off to Tireplus where it will be inspected by the manager there ... So far Im concerned about the

1) Front rotors as the car was sitting on them for 4 days and God knows if it was dropped hard when the rims were stolen ....

2) Both Calibers that have visible scratches because of the tow truck idiots

3) Driver side SIDE SKIRT is a lil bent as the crate was under it .... and they were realy small crates ... so lets see if its fixable or if not ... im definitely getting the A-Spec lip kit from Bruce under the $725 Group buy going on ( thanks to GEICO)

btw does any one know if Acura sells the side skirts single or in a pair ? and how much is MSRP ?

4) Passenger side door mirror has a scratch on it from the previous owner which I noticed a week after i bought the car from ACURA so lets see if TP can pull it off If not I will get it fixed from the money i saved by not going to the STEALERSHIP

Right now looking for a good ALARM ...

Btw Had nothing to do this evening so i ended up washing the RENTAL

Glad everything worked out for you man. As for the sideskirts from the dealer, they come with kit you are going to purchase from Bruce.

A-Specs look dope! Time to drop that shit

The A-Spec kit should run you around $750 for everything; front lip, both side skirts, and rear lip.

Yeah I couldn't remember if it was $725 or $750. I picked the higher of the two so he wouldn't feel ripped off if he paid more than $725.

The side-skirts are sold as a pair (left and right sides) together for around 300 dollars. The best thing to do is buy the whole kit and put it on whenever you have time.

Like I said about wheel locks, if you do get them, make sure that they are NOT sticking out past the wheels and as well there is BARELY any room to stick a socket between the lock and the rim. This way most breaking sets won't work but the downside is that you have to buy special thin-wall sockets in order to take off the lug nuts.

As far as an alarm goes, why not wire a shock sensor to the factory system? Tie it into the hood latch so if the car is ever moved slightly, it will tell the factory alarm that someone has opened the hood and set it off!

As with the other post, I'd be freaking hot!!! And no one should be stepping in my way that week! Did you look on craigslist, the person who did this might be trying to sell them. I hope all works out for you bruh!

So do you mean I should just attach a shock sensor to the factory alarm ? I won't need an aftermarket alarm then ? Please let me know if this is what you meant and also where can I find the shock sensor alone. Thanks

That sucks donkey dongs. it looks like the car was in the open which really suck. However you start parking under a light even if you have to walk a little more to the house. And park with you wheels turned and nose out in the parking lot. Not enough to get hit but enough that someone is not completely hidden then start a "townwatch."

The car was parked in a well lit area right in front of my apartment building. Unfortunately, my apartment is on the back side. Someone else has also told me about parking with the wheels turned... I do not understand how it might prevent some one from steeling wheels. Also , what did you mean by nose out ?

Funny but unfortunate at the same time, sorry for your loss. Makes me dread having to park the TL on the street every night let alone a gated community where you think your property is safe

Theres really not much one can do ... As someone said earlier ... WheelLocks can be broken and alarms can be bypassed. So it's all luck in the end but you still have to try to play safe. :-)

Thumbs up Finally got my baby back today !!!

So Finally I got my baby back today :-) Boi have I missed it so much ... All these days, drove a Hyundai Santa Fe, Chrysler 300C and a Chevy Malibu ... But I tell you that none of these are even 10% close to what our 3gTL's are

A different Acura dealer than the one I spoke to fixed some minor dents and scrapes on the side skirts. Many people who saw the car say that the A-specs look better than the ones I had before ... I still fell there both special in a different way ... Those were Hot ... These are Hot :-) Im just glad my baby got its shoes back :-)

Oh and I also got the wheel locks and motion sensor alarm as well

I think some local rim thieves were just caught because someone called in a license plate.

It's nice .. I mean yes they stand out but like I said ... i loved the old ones too ... Both these rims are like a cherry on top for the 3GTL's ... They suit so well that either way the car looks awesome !

I feel the car a bit lowered ... now that could be coz I was driving rentals all 2 weeks probably ?
