What The F***
As of lately when I punch the gas and take it to about 100 or close to it I noticed that my check engine light comes on ! What the f*** is up with that. Has this happened to any one else ? EX: I was on the highway tonight going about 65mph and I needed to get all the way over , so naturally I look for a opening in traffic and I hit . I get up to 95 or so and the light was blinking like the car was about to fall apart ! Can any one help ! This is not cool ! And one last question . . . Will I have any problems using 94 octane ?

We can only hope that when you collide with the innocent kids in that minivan at 100 MPH that the fu***ng 'check engine light' is the last thing you see as it's bulb goes through your eye.

Wait a second... not a few people... it's almost 1/4 04TLers require to get the software upgrade. (ppl from Oct. to now)
NLYTN, what's your VIN range? What RPM did you run when that MIL (checking engine light) was ON?
IMO, octane 94 should not be the issue.

1. Vin 20000, you should have the new software updated already.
2. MPH around 100, in plain highway, your RPM vs gear could be
6.2k-6.6k RPM in in 3rd gear
4k-4.5k RPM if in 4th gear
2.9k-3.3k RPM if in 5th gear
based on what I know, this MIL ON (check engine light ON) issue "usually" takes place while revving over 4k, so you could be in 3rd (hard acceleration by SS mode or floor it) or in 4th (hard acceleration). Since you have new software, your crank/shaft position sensor or coil packs of the engine may be the factors causing problems, which could be diagnosed by connecting dealers' inspection module.
Wish this could help...
