stage 3 turbo? not likely

its been BEATEN to death, and there is absolutely no turbo kit what-so-over for this car.. and if you found a place to to custom-fab one, it will be ALOT more than 6g's.... plus engine management is still in the balance, as nobody has succesfully tuned a 3G TL

not to bash, but why do people keep putting NOS in their TL ? im a HP whore.... but i would never put my car on juice.....

Since you have the nitrous already, concentrate on exhaust mods. Open it up at any cost. Delete the precats and run at least 2.75" piping back to the mufflers. Intake mods will do practically nothing while you're on the bottle but exhaust mods will make huge improvements.

lol i have a friend who offered to do a turbo for me in FL.....who races single n twinturbo mustangs from 9secs to 7 secs....hes got everything under the sun to fabricate something silly for this car... but he said its gonna cost minimum 11k n up. Another thing he said....wtf would u bother? its fwd.... the pipes would pretty much be routed to where the battery sits stock for the turbo to replace that whole space.

i dont think i could ever fathom a 500whp acura tl.... fwd is NOT good for serious power... my n/a tl-s is already all over the road when i light it up, torque steering every possible direction

well i will have everything on in about a month or 2 and as for the price for the STS turbo its only 2900$ so if it takes 8 g's to do the work ......that would be very dumb

Again, as we all know, the problem with turbos and these cars is engine management, not the physical fabrication. If we had the management issue resolved, I would hang a turbo off of each head in place of the cats and call it a day. The STS system really doesn't solve anything and adds more potential problems.

I've thought about this since I have 5 turbos laying around. The smallest I have are two stock GN turbos but I've thought about an ultra low boost setup just for a couple extra hp, not racing since I'm deleting the cats anyway.

even though you dont wanna lower you car, I'd say lower your car. And a lip kit would be nice. And wheels.

If you are planning boosting the car anyway, why are you concerning yourself with other performance mods right now. Chances are, anything that you bolt on at this point will either be rendered obsolete or insufficient once you attach the snail anyway. So IMHO you are wasting your money. I will also reiterate what everyone else has said as well, without an effective standalone EMS you risk major heartache & headaches when you completely destroy your engine because you insited that it could be done.
