I also always thought that the 3G (base or Type-S) came with some of the prettiest stock wheels compared to other even more expensive brands.

I would say my favorite things about my 6mt TL-S is hands down the body styling. Its sharp, sleek, almost futuristic kind of body lines are great. And to think it was first introduced way back in 04. The bi-xenon headlights, smooth quiet ride and excellent fuel economy.

I like the design the most. It's very atypical to today's focus on soft lines and flowing curves. It's sharp and triangular.
As a tangent, you know who I haven't seen in awhile? I hate cars. Where did that guy go?

I love the look of the car.. even though I drive an '06 I still prefer it over the new gen TL's...
Also I love the reliability, 175k strong and never left me stranded..
I like the versatility of the car, I came from driving a RSX-S and like the ride of the TL. I can be sports when I want to, yet I can have a nice drive around city without the harsh ride..

the overexplainer
everything about it minus the FWD and the turning radius puts my dad's E46 to shame.
When my mother rode in it for the first time she straight up said my car was better than his and I paid less.

Looks and sound hands down.
1. This car is 7 years old and still stands out among 2012 models (but not 4g TLs; Acura is ahead of the game on styling as usual (but behind in others of course)) <- lol.
2. I only have an intake and the car sounds 100% more satisfying than any other NA V6 I have ever heard (that includes the ol' VQ imo)
Honestly if it weren't for those two things I would be driving something much faster for the same money. By and large, anything that performs better than the TL will be uglier and/or cheaper feeling (or plain old). Also TLs might be common elsewhere, but in my area they turns heads because there are hardly any around.

It just looks incredibly awesome. I can't think of a better looking car under $100k. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like the look.
Some cars are cheaper, some cars are faster, some cars have a nicer ride or more amenities. That's all just part of finding a car that fits your priorities. The look can't be beat. That's what puts this car over the top.

Keep Right Except to Pass
I wish I had seen this thread yesterday (August 18) because August 18 marked seven years to the day from the night I picked up my then-new TL at the dealer. (Funny thing, yesterday I also drove it down Russell Road in Alexandria for the very first time. Russell Road is the street I was on when the car I had prior to the TL got totalled in a rear-ending. I had avoided that street for that very reason, but yesterday due to traffic it was the most direct way to get to where I was going.)
It's hard for me to pick one thing I like best, but the following come to mind:
—Very comfortable car for long-distance travel.
—The seat heaters (during the winter, of course). No need to wear a coat or jacket when driving in cold weather.
—I like the design of the center console with the two storage spaces and the cupholders. The second lighter plug in the lower section is very nice to have.
—Enough torque that you don't have to downshift as often as in other manual-shift cars I've driven. Often I don't even need to downshift when passing on two-lane roads.
—The Navi and the HFL (while the HFL lady misunderstanding what I say can be annoying, I like having the HFL, especially with the 6MT).
—Cruise control is a lot smoother than in other cars I've owned, doesn't speed up and slow down to hold the speed. Also the "cancel" button is nice because you can deactivate it without the telltale tap of the brakes or tapping the clutch.
—DVD-Audio capability on the stereo allows for very high capacity without resorting to crappy lossy compression like .MP3.
—Very strong air conditioner.
I'm not listing fuel economy because I don't think the fuel economy in city driving in DC-area traffic is all that good. Out on the highway is a different story, but most of my driving these days is local.

The look and build quality of the car, 6 speed and that it puts down 400+ WHP like it was designed with that kind power in mind. The LSD handles double stock power levels with ease and allows extreme acceleration. I also love how the car has aged, mine is an 06 and other than the front bumper being full of tiny paint chips it looks new in and out. I also still have the new car smell.
I ran my car completely stock ( other than the SC and exhaust) at 320 WHP and both the clutch and suspension performed flawlessly.
