What do you guys think my car is worth?

Before you flame me, I've already done the online blue book values, but they vary a great deal.

It's an '05 TL 6MT/navi, SSM/Ebony, 11K miles, flawless with brand new 19" rims and tires. I've listed it for $32,500...what do you guys think?

Thanks.

Seems a bit high. With that price, you can get a brand new TL. I guess the rims and tires work in your favor though.

I would guess realistically maybe 28K. If the price is too close to new car prices people will just add $1k to it and buy new.

What's the catch? Why new rims and tires when you are selling it?

BTW, I think your $32,500 price sounds decent considering the buyer is not going to pay sales tax. $31K would sound much more enticing.

Would also like to see pics of the rims.

Since its a private seller, why would you pay tax? The private seller wouldnt have to pay tax on it would he? He would be double taxed on the purchase and the sale of the car? And what if the private seller said 32.5 is tax included. Whats the difference?

It's been a long time since I bought a used car (1989). How does one pay the sales tax if you are buying from a private party like BG74?

You pay sales tax (user tax?) when you go to transfer the title at the DMV. Well, at least in CA.

In NY, The new owner pay the sales tax when you transfer the title/register the car.

It's a non-issue now...I changed my mind and I'm keeping it.
