What do you guys think I can get for my car? 07 TL-S

I have a black 07 Type S Auto. Never wrecked, dinged or smoked in. I have 33k miles on it....high I know but my car is my office.

I added the Black Chrome A Spec wheels with Pirelli P Zero Nero M+s tires. the tires have almost 3k on them. Has a comptech rear bar, and a fujita intake but it is otherwise stock.

I was thinking of trying to get 29k for it....is that too much?

In Baton Rouge we have only one Acura dealer so there aren't a lot of them around. I am going to try to buy an MDX because I need more room.

Trade it in for the mdx, you can juice the dealer for about 27k 29 is what they will look to sell for

I would definitely remove the cai if you can, and definitely swap cats with the above member since they will truly never know unless they do a part # lookup which I can guarantee they will never be able to do because I think the heatshields have the same part #

You should really think about a private seller rather than ebay

dude, i paid 33k for an 07 with zero miles on it...i would think 29k for 30+ thousand miles on it is too much...bottom line is that you just put way too many miles on it...

I appreciate your responses. 33k for a zero mile car...that sounds like a smoking deal. I paid 36 for mine last November but I got the first black one off the truck and like I said we only have one dealer in like 100 miles

Remember.... EVERYBODY on the internet paid less than invoice...

33K is a smoking deal... and unrealistic for 95% of the dealerships to even agree to that. That's not the typical price, obviously... I bought my car in Vegas, and there's only 2 Acura dealerships... they gave a discount, but it wasn't THAT much.

For your car, privately, I'm sure 28-29K is reasonable.

Probably closer to 27,500 to a dealer. I had a customer try and trade her 2007 TL-S with 11k on it and ACV was 29.

$29k is too much. Like most south cal buyers here, I paid around $34k brand new last July.
I looked on eGay few days ago and there was one selling for $29k with about 10K or 12k miles on it.

Good luck to the sales.

dealer just offered to buy it from me for 27500. that is without me having to buy anything at this dealership. I feel like I might be able to get another grand or so selling it myself.

27500-take it and run with it..good deal...that's if they knocked off the msrp price also...hopefully they didn't just give you msrp and then give you 27500. Why sell it, your already saving 1375 (5%) making your total to trade---28875.

I am not buying anything from them at this point. This would be just selling them my car. They said I can buy anything at another dealership and that offer is still good. I would get my tax credit even if I bought something somewhere else. Although I really want to wait for the new FX50

I don't get it? You can't sell a dealer your car, go buy another from someone else, and get the tax credit savings. Unless your state laws are different, I smell BS.

The Acura dealer wants the car for their lot. They act as a private buyer. If I went and bought a Mercedes, the Mercedes dealer would call the acura dealer and the Acura dealer would buy it from the Mercedes dealer for the agreed upon price, the mercedes dealer would show that value to me as a trade in. It is called a courtesy trade or an "in and out".

I sold cars for four years in college at the Acura/Infiniti and Honda dealer in our area so I have a few connections. Although I am really just thinking I will keep the car until the 09 models of everything comes out and see what I like then.

I've sold cars and was a manager myself for years. Unless it's the same owner's, this can't happen. It's hard for me to believe that two dealerships will help each other out like this and is illegal as hell. I'm not trying to flame you on this thread but let's keep it straight here.

When it comes down to it, it's business. There's no profit to gain, Acura store especially when you say they are buying your car for such a high price.

I work in the pre-owned department at an Acura store (Not DCH Montclair, I'm with our store in upstate NY) and, well.. a few things...

1) Mileage is hurting the car's value as I am sure you can imagine.
2) You were offered a LOT for the car by your local dealer, I strongly suggest taking the $$ and running.

I went and checked auction results and they jived with what I figured that I would appraise your car for as a dealer.

07 TLSs with, say, 15k miles are worth $28-29k wholesale. Depending on the color and condition I'd figure one with 33k on it to be worth in and around $25,500 to me.

If you are selling it to a dealer, lose the CAI and eBay it. A CAI technically hurts the car to us as it won't pass certification standards with a CAI in it, and we'd then have to toss it and buy a new stock airbox.
