Thumbs up What do you guys think?

Hi, I was looking at this car. I bought my TL from this dealership. They had this car for a while. When I got mine this type s was $15,999, now they raised the price. I was thinking to trade my TL for this one. I already had have mine 1 year and a half. No problems with the car, it's really good. Its the same dealer. So let me know what do you guys think?

No warranty coverage, high miles, and will need 105K service assuming it wasn't done. If you're ready for all of that, buy it, but I'd keep looking for a lower mileage example.

Maybe they raised the price because they recently had the 105k done?

What is the mileage on your TL? I am not as concerned with the higher miles. I have an 08 that has 87K on it now and by next year at this time it will be closing in on 130K.

I am more concerned about the services and NO Warranty Coverage.

A couple of comments I'll add;

The interior was/is filthy. If the interior isn't taken care of usually it follows for the rest of the car.

Look at the bumpers ... I'll bet thay have been repainted ... if so there is a 90% chance in a few months the paint will start to peel and flake.

Those bumpers are in way to good a shape for a 100K car.

I never understand people trying to trick buys by saying "FULLY LOADED!!!" and start listing features that come with the car, like backup camera, bluetooth link, etc

Wow, that's a lot of mileage on that car. I've been looking for a Type-S as well and I've seen some as low as that price-wise but with fewer mileage.

I would if I found a Type S and got a good deal on my trade. My TL is a base model with no navi. I've only had it a couple months so I am not 100% emotionally invested in the car.

What is the mileage of your current TL??? if it 80k+ then i would trade it in for this car. Talk to the dealer and see how much they will give for your car, tell them like you brought the car here and stuff and would also like to buy here in the future, and they might give you a good deal on the trade in. Plus you already know the price they were asking before so it's give you more ground to negotiate.

I said do it if:
your car has 80K+
With the new price, all the maintenance are done for you
no more than 5k in difference after the trade in

The car look pretty clean with 110k on it. The interior you can clean it out and it even come with a A Spec kit which is over $700 DIY or over 1k at the dealer.

I'm with you there Alex. That two tone looks so cheap! Merely my preference though.
Another thing while we are noting Type-S stuff, give me the base wheels anyday. My brain says the Type-S wheels are more valuable. My eyes tell me the base wheels looks so much better.
