Smile What to do with newly bought TL?

Hello!
I bought my car from one man who didn't use it. Just bought from dealer, fixed something and sold to me. But before it has only one owner all these 15 years.
So, I don't know the history of this car and have noone to ask about it. There are no fresh records in the service book.

Now I'm trying to find some information and make a "to do list". For example, change a timing belt and water pump, change the spark plugs, antifreeze. And I decided to ask AcuraZines for advice and help me to make the list. Maybe Acura has something special? If not, maybe I forgot some simple things and you can help me don't lose it.

Welcome to TL life!

Step 1 is top off fluids: oil, transmission, brake, antifreeze, blinkers. Look for leaks during this, for example my valve cover gaskets were bad.

Step 2 is drive it around gently, listen for odd noises and any driving quirks. Here is where bad suspension bushings, bad brakes, or engine/trans problems show up.

Step 3 is full maintenance: timing belt & water pump, oil change, trans fluid change (with filter!), etc.

Step 4 is modifications: coilovers, custom bodykit, massive wheels, full flames and/or hentai-anime paint job, etc.

Step 5 sell it.

Steps 4 and 5 - later)) Step 3 - that's what I'm talking about. What does the "etc" include? Your leaking valve cover reminded me about Valve adjusting. Good!

Donut Media recently released a fairly comprehensive video on things to make sure you check or fix before you do too much of the fun or funny Step 4 stuff. It's not an exhaustive list, but it should definitely get you started (and will also serve as a good primer for those who want to get started and don't know what to do yet!).
