Question What are the differences btwn 04 Aspec/non-Aspec?

Just wondering if there are any differences on the A-spec other than the wheels and body kit....are there any performance differences? (i.e. suspension, power, brakes, etc.) Thanks! sorry if this has been covered before....

Yea, there are several threads on this. The main difference between the two is basically the bodykit, tuned suspension, steering wheel, 18 in wheels and tires. One other item is the upgraded brakes pads for the 5AT (6MT has Brembos). Do a search and you'l find loads of info on it. BTW, a lot of the folks who have the Aspec package also added the Comptech rear sway bar (RSB) to reduce body roll.

sorry again, but what's with the steering wheel? how is it different? And on the 6MT are the brembos marked....can you tell they're brembos looking thru the wheel? I am trying to figure out if this car for sale is a real A-spec or if it's a dealer-installed kit/wheels/badges pkg. Thanks.

The steering wheel is a tad thicker than the stock wheel. No, the Brembos (black calipers) have acura printed on them. Most of the Aspec packages are dealer installed. I forgot to mention it also has a lip spoiler or wing spoiler. I don't know if there's a way to ensure the brakes are upgraded. Here's a picture of the Aspec TL.

thanks...this one for sale has the steering wheel, body kit and wheels (of course), trunk lip spoiler, and trunk badge. I just need to find out if the brakes and suspension are A-spec. Guess I'll have to trust the dealer's answer.

Mike, FYI, with the Aspec suspension, the car is lowered about half in or a tad more and should not exceed more than 1". Good Luck to ya and if you decide to get it post some pics......

Yes, in that picture the car looks like it might have the suspension. The rear wheel gap is less than on the stock. (That's how mine looks now - I just got mine installed yesterday).
