What color should I paint my calipers?
This is my TL. I am about to get my brakes replaced. I do not have the money for brembo brakes, so I want to paint my calipers. Asking for suggestions.
I wanted white, but that will get dirty too fast. How about yellow, maybe orange? I am open to ideas.

Non-Brembos? If so, I'd stick with something dark (black, dark grey, etc.); bright colors will call attention to the fact that stock calipers are small.
If you have Brembo calipers on the front wheels, I think you may have more latitude; in which case, I'd recommend a red or blue with that color palette you've already set up on the car.

What kind of rims are those?

I'd either go dark or blue to match your lug nuts. Also, like mentioned earlier, also paint the hubs. They tend to rust and look tacky.

I would do blue, just make sure you paint the pads as well. You wont belive but they will actually look bigger then they are. I did my car which is black and has graphite wheels, so i painted it red and really like it. its not even close to a rice thing. Dont listen to them

Well spending 2grand and plus just to look good, i dont know. As i recall in car and driver magazine test, the stock brakes actually stopped faster over the brembo ones. Im not talking about consistency but for regular driving its plenty good. Bottom line i like my stock setup. Dressed up looks even better.

This topic always seems split down the middle. I think it comes down to what you want. A lot of people feel that colored stock calipers pull too much attention to something that isn't special. If done in the right color, it won't bring a lot of extra attention to them unless you're looking right at them. For example. Hot pink on a hot pink car would not be a problem.
I'm obviously pro painted stock calipers if done correctly. Mine are red and I don't think they are that obvious. I think the red blends with the brake lights and side markers. Plus, they provide some depth to my wheels. It looks so much cleaner.
My car is silver, but if it were black, that would be another story. With white, I think you could get a way with most colors except your rims are black. I don't think I'd waste my time painting them black since that will blend with your rims. I suggest not painting them the same color as your rims unless you are trying to hide them, or just prevent them from looking dirty.
The only regret I have is that a lot of people on here think it's rice. I don't race this car, I just drive to work. I'm not buying a BBK just for added depth to my rims. It's a $36 modification that takes a few hours and looks great.

Go dark black, or use that blue from your lugs... My theme on my TLS is Black and RED slight touches of chrome up front only... My red will by Candy burgundy wine... Thank god the TLS already helps with red interior lighting =D

white wouldnt look bad, and shouldnt be to ahrd to keep clean if you wash your car regularly, but i think blue since only thing is the lug nuts wouldnt match quite right to me, and like the rest who cares stock is stock, its not rice to paint calipers, no ones gonna run up and say oh wow stock calipers, ive seen many a car in my life at races and shows and quite honestly not many people look at brakes no matter what color they are, its really not as big a deal as these other people make it seem, do what you want with em, if its good to you then who cares its your car
