Hey guys (and gals),

I am about the paint my whole car. I'm tired of the scratches, car chips, accidents (people hitting my car in the parking lot and running away from it), and other things.

Since I am going to paint the whole car, I wanted some ideas on what colors would look good with the TL. I am open to a different color then NBP, WDP, ASM, etc...

For some reason I always liked KBP on my car, but still debating on it.

I think I am want a blue or black color. I'm not worried about cleaning the black or any dark color as I have a unlimited hand car wash plan with a local car wash place (don't worry they use microfiber towels, touch-free wash).

Give me some ideas and post pictures

 

i have always liked the lemans blue metallic.

 

I like it, I'm just trying to picture it on the TL.

I wish I was good with Photoshop :/

 

to be honest those pics dont do the paint justice. I have always wanted a m3 lemans blue with the red interior convertible.

 

may I suggest the burnt orange CL-S color...i wanna see that

I would so do a burnt orange on my car for my school, but I think it would look fuglish.

 

Dark blue or some kind of satin white color.

 

I think something like Infiniti's Blue Slate would look hot on a TL. Classy, not too common, would go well with black, gray, chrome, CF scheme.

 

BMW's Interlagos Blue?? Beautiful.

How do you plan on paying for it? Do you know someone who'll do it for you?

What about Honda Championship White? But, if you don't repaint your car the same color, it'll cost you much more.

Black or Blue.

I like Black, but I saw a Type-S KBP and it looked really nice.

i think like a burgundy color or a slate blue would look hot on the TL. its def. different.

 

You should go with a nice darker burgundy.... or maybe a dark midnight blue...

 

Since your looking at dark colors, may I suggest you check out Carbon Black from BMW

 

I would either do the Alpine White or Le Mans Blue...both my favorite colors.

 

I would just take the 6k (I think the average amounto paint a whole car by pro's) and trade in my TL for this...

 

I was thinking about Alpine White, but the people on the M3 boards don't like it at all. (Even though I should go and look @ one soon) Its hard an example of a TL with Alpine White because WDP keeps popping into my head.

I believe this is "Frost Blue Metallic" on a new Jaguar XJ

 

It looks like your car is already black. I've always told myself that once my car needs a new paint job I was going to paint it a "real" black instead of this metallic blue crap ruining the black paint job. It would be much cheaper to go from NBP to just black than it would to entirely change colors.

Personally I would go with a shade of blue. You don't see blue cars that often and they don't stick out like a sore thumb like a brighter color would.

Aegean Blue Pearl from the 2G TL-S/CL-S is sexy. That's what color my 01 CL-S was and I LOVED it. I have yet to see another ABP CL-S around here with that color.

 

Do a WINE (Merlot) color...cranberry

 

remember to do a complete job you have to also do the jambs...if your looking for a dark color i suggest something that your gonna like..what color do you want.. blue black white red green silver...

 

that flat black of the tahoe is awesome!!!
