Thumbs up

At 16 my first car was the brand new model 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE1.
At 18 I kept the Grand Am and added a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 offroad.
At 19 I got rid of the Grand Am, and added my 2003 TL purchased in Aug. '02.
I am now 21 and still loving strong my '03 TL!!

Honestly, I miss the 03 TL-S suspension. It was rock-solid yet comfortable.

I installed the ASpec Susp to help reduce the bobbing effect of the 05 susp, but now the ride is a bit too stiff (but corners like its on rails) Comptech swaybar up next...

Great, I'm the one guy who's gone to the TL from a Ford F150.

For all the cars I've owned, the TL definitely has been a great value. The next closest "value" was my 1999 Corvette ... but it was hard to do long road trips in that car with those dang run flat tires ... not to mention it cost $10K more than the TL.

Current Vehicles:
2006 Acura TL 6MT/Navi
2004 Honda ST1300A (with more gadgets and gizmos than the TL)

Previous Vehicles:
2003 Suzuki Hayabusa (Traded for my ST1300)
2002 Ford F150 Extended Cab FX4 (Still in the family)
2002 Suzuki GSX-R750 (Totalled at the track)
2002 Porsche 996 Turbo (Tech stock crash forced me to sell)
2002 Corvette Convertible (Sold after 3 months ... lemon)
2001 Mercedes CL500 (Traded for 2002 Corvette)
2001 Mercedes S500 (Traded for CL500)
2001 Kawasaki ZX-9R (Traded for GSX-R750)
2001 Kawasaki ZX-6R (Traded after 1 month for ZX-9R)
2000 Ford Explorer (Traded for 2002 F150)
1999 Ferrari F355GTB F1 (Traded for Porsche)
1999 Corvette Coupe (Traded for S500)
1998 Ford Expedition (Traded for 2000 Explorder)
1996 Pontiac Trans-Am (Traded for Expedition)
1996 Ford Explorer (Traded for Trans-Am)
1993 Ford Ranger (Traded for Explorer)
1984 Buick Skyhawk (Blew up ... replaced with Ranger)

Rocket - Why did you ever get rid of the Ferrari!!?? Totally AMAZING car. Dream car would be an F355 (because they might be somewhat affordable) or the 550. Drove a 355 in Vegas a few years back. Blew me away. Absolutely AMAZING car!!

I was disappointed with the car, but probably because of the F1 gearbox. The corvette was more fun to drive, but not as graceful. I replaced the Ferrari with the Porsche as the best of both worlds.

With the paddle shifters, I just felt like I was cheating. Car sounded great when grabbing a foot full of breaks and banging out a couple downshifts, but it wasn't me doing some nice heal-toe action ... it was the dang computer. If I had gotten the car to the track more, it might have been more worthwhile, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Porsche on the track, and so had no regrets about the trade.

Not to mention ... once the tech stock dried up, I couldn't afford to keep anything but my pickup truck, so that's where I've been until buying the TL two weeks ago.

I've had 14 new GM cars in 16 years - this is my FIRST non-GM car ever - and I'm lovin't it . The last few were:

2006 Corvette
2005 Caddy STS
2004 Caddy Escalade
2003 Tahoe
2002 Corvette ZR1
2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
2000 Caddy STS
.
.
.
.
.

BTW - notice I said I've "had" 14 new GM cars, not I've "owned" 14 new GM cars - I can't afford rides like that lol!

RED means it was a POS
BLACK means it was OK
GREEN means it was GREAT!:

1973 Volvo 164E (auto)
1980 Toyota Celica GT (auto)
1983 Nissan Sentra (stick)
1987 Nissan Sentra SE (semi-hatch style) (stick)
1989 Probe GT (turbo) (stick)
1991 Thunderbird SC (supercharged) (auto)
1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (auto) HUGE POS!!
1994 Toyota Celica (stick)
1996 Probe GT (stick)
1996 Acura TL 3.2 (auto)
1992 Toyota Celica (for commuting) (stick)

Current:
==========
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD (V8) (auto) - sits in my drive now unless I'm going to HD or Lowe's
2002 Toyota Camry SE (Wife's) (auto)
2005 Acura TL 6MT (obviously - stick) - about 12k miles on her now

SIDEBAR - We are actually planning on trading in both the Jeep (130k miles) and my wife's Camry(60k miles) for another SUV. She would get my TL and I would primarily drive the SUV. I've tossed around the following:

2006 /2007 Jeep GC SRT-8 (not very practical with kids and all, but man would it be fun!)

2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ (unbelievable interior in the redesigned 2007. I like the interior much better than my TL)

2006/2007 Nissan Armada
