Boy, was I wrong.

Best car I've ever owned and I've owned plenty. Perfect mix of sport and luxury. The TL has become the one car I miss the most......the Legend. The RL is a blah nothing car. The TL brings back the juice that makes the blood boil.
I agree the TL is the spiritual successor to the Legend. My first and third cars were 1st Gen. Legend Sedans with Manual Trans. 160 hp., 3100 pounds (IIRC), 8.0 sec. 0-60/130 MPH capability. Not too bad in 1987, or 1993 when I got my first car.

The RL is a nice quiet FWD luxury car. My Dad is happy with his RL. I am just glad I got him out of a Buick, although his 2000 LeSabre exceeded all expectations (except resale value).

Oh, and I sold the bimmer in my sig. It was more fun to drive on a country road, but I have found the TL to be superior as a daily driver.

I'm curious about the BMW reference in your sig. Doesn't schwarz mean black in german? They list the same color but in different languages for interior and exterior?

I don't really know why I didn't just say black/black, which is what I usually do. I don't think that german/english combination is official, but it is not uncommon for people to refer to the combinations that way. Schwarz is a little more specific than black for the exterior, since BMW has offered a variety of blacks over the years, with different names, such as Schwarz II and Diamond Schwarz.
