Went to the track.
Decided to run at the track today, got a new personal best.
14.466 @ 98.85 with a 2.293 60'
Overall, not bad. Launched braked it up to 2200 rpm, launched on the 3rd amber and floored it in L. Overall, my best launch out of this car yet.
Previous best was a 14.6 at 98 mph as well. Only thing I changed was the front and side mounts to 75A poly and a different launch routine.
The other car was a newer Camaro SS with a paxton supercharger. He claims it makes 800 hp. Previous run had him at 11.7 at 120+, he missed a shift I believe.

Nice! Looks like the 5AT really wakes up with bolt ons, as we've been seeing lately. You're probably a little quicker than a stock 6MT.
And yeah, 800 horse on a Paxton SS....he's telling a tall tale there, lol.

Thanks! The car keeps surprising me. I still have more bolt ons to do!
Nice job man. Always nice to see improvement. Some more seat time @ the track will net you low 14s with a better 60'
Lol @ 800hp and 11.7 @120. He would be trapping well over 130, even in that boat.

Even without 800hp I believe something happened to the Camaro in the second eighth, maybe a missed shift. Most of the quick 335’s are running 97-103mph in the eighth with finishes between 128 & 131mph with ET's around 10.8 – 11.1.
Even a pure stock 335 will gain about 23mph in the second half, the Camaro has to be faster then that.

OP, excellent times. Keep up the strong work.
The first two pages of 335i's on drag times are all 11.50's and quicker and in the 125-130 mph range. Only one is in the 10's. Do a search for Hotrod 182 on YouTube. He has a coupe and a sedan and both cars are significantly faster than a purestock Z06. His 60-130 pulls are insane. Obviously these aren't your average tuned 335's, but nonetheless, they're out there.

Very few mid 11 second 3351's have RB turbos it easy to find a lot of stock turbo listings at Drag Times in the 11.2/11.3 X 125mph & up section.
Some might not agree but I think low 11's with a 2993CC motor on stock turbos is pretty good. There will always be faster cars but the overall package is very nice IMHO.
BTW: Most stock C6's with the 6162CC 427 motor run in the mid 12's like I do with just a tune, FMIC & a 50% smaller engine.

He switched to RB's & listed a 11.100 X 123.9 the fastest time listed. I don't think the tuners have caught up yet with the RB's or the new Vargas units.
BTW on the general competence of the 3351 at the drag strip & what it can or cannot do, at Drag Times the first 51 listing are in the 11 second bracket the next 139 listings are in the 12 second bracket.
Sorry for the hijack it was not intended to go this far but only as a piece of info on the Camaro only gaining 20mph in the second 1/8th mile which suggests something was wrong with the driver, car or both.

2nd, even LS2 6.0 C6's can run mid 12s stock and with only a few bolt-ons they run 11's. Go forced induction on any C6 motor like the 335 and well......
Hey Ruby, you did a 14.2 @ 98mph with a bone stock TL-S 5AT? any tips on how you launched(vsa on or off), and did you shift right at redline, and what kind of tires are you running?
1st off, the 427 motor is NOT the LS3 6.2L motor, it' the 7.0 Liter in the Z06. Youtube "Ranger" and you will see what they can run stock with a good driver.

As I said above I run mid 12 seconds with just about $1000 spent. If I upped that to $2500 total the car is at low 11's as shown in Drag Times. Interesting thing is in the 11.1 to 11.4 bracket the 335 is on average 6/7mph faster crossing the line the the 11 second Vettes.
Where the Vettes break out is in the more highly modified area of mid 10's & better. Best 335 is only 10.8. But all things considered a 3 liter motor in a heavier car holding equal to a 6 liter motor through the 11 second bracket is pretty good IMHO.
BTW: Just for info purposes are you listed on Drag Times Corvette section?
As for YouTube, its not all that good in proving a point as you can find pretty much anything you want to find.
All that being said lets release the hijack & go back to the OP's thread
