During my lunch break today, I drove onto the highway with the TL-S WDP and to my sight, I spot a fellow TL-S NBP. Due to construction, there were only two lanes and I pulled up to see the driver.

Our eyes met and we both nodded because of each others great taste for cars. All of a sudden he hits the gas and shoots from 45 to 80. The lanes were too tight so I did not bother catching up.

As I can recall, when do TL-S run each other. Aren't we suppose to embrace each other's presence and acknowledge some type of camaraderie?

 

for the most part, the only people that really feel that camaraderie and have pride in their TLs are those of us on this forum, and that is only a very small percentage of Acura owners...bottom line, don't expect a lot of love from random TL drivers on the street.

 

I thought this was going to be a colour poll, u had me so excited. lol

haha. i have had a ton of fellow tl-s drivers try to race (not play) me and i dont get it, do they think their tls is any faster than my tls?

i like the ones that try to play, its a good rush hittin a 100 for a bit.

a little off topic but i saw a CL-S and an integra "playing" last night, the funny thing was that the CL-S was nice and clean, looked like the owner took care of it and the integra was pretty old with a non-fitting body kit and primer'd body. i would have "played" with them, but i was moving out of my apartment so i had our 1994 dodge grand caravan le and i didnt want to show either one of them up

Actually if you go an extra mile to take care of your car, 93 octane at Chevron, Synthetic oil, keep up w/ maintenance schedule, etc. and the other TLS driver doesn't do any of those things, I would think your car would be faster.

 

What if it's a TL driven by a drunk who had stolen the car and is attempting to escape the cops?

its so hard to gauge what the other driver is thinking, of course you would love to "play around" but u also dont want to come off as a jerk, thats why i second the thought of acurazine plates for "us". it would be great....

 

No need to be overly concerned. It's a well documented inferiority complex rapidly spreading among non-WDP owners The only known cure is to trade up to a WDP.

I have NBP but WISH I had WDP.

 

In my 2G NBP, I waxed, clayed and cleaned almost every week, when it is clean it is the sexiest color out there. But with all the fingerprints and swirl marks maintenance drove me wild. Thus WDP is beautiful and easier to maintain. Yes, I'll admit, I became a lazy bastard!

I actually have an "AcuraZine" 3rd brake light. I had it made obviously with the consent of the admin. I'm just not one who wants to go around putting stickers on my car, and as much as I love the site for the inspiration it has given me, I just can't stomach stickers on my car lol.

I don't want stickers either, I think a license plate frame will be best.
