WDP vs AM?

Hi all. New to this forum - anticipating purchasing my new TL. I have read many of the posts and I know much of the decision is pur preference, but I'm trying to decide between the WDP or AM colors.

I currently have a NBP Honda Accord EX. I love the black, but it is pure h*#@ to keep clean. I like the AM and the WDP both but was wondering what rationale others might provide behind this decision. I really like the parchment interiorfor the white, but wouldn't know which to chose for the anthracite.

I'd like to hear what others think.

Thanks.

Those were the 2 colors I was thinking about getting. ended up with WDP in quartz leather. I use to have a black jetta, and well honestly (not sure if it's because its my new car)...I find my TL to get just as dirty as my Jetta. heh..then again, it rains like almost everyday.

reason I choose WDP over AM..well, they didn't have a AM on the lot. They had this WDP with the parchment and this woodgrain interior in the showroom. I'm normally not a fan of woodgrain, but have to say it was nice.

Thanks for the info. My brother has had both a white and black car & says the black is harder to keep clean. But then, I don't know if the Anthracite will be any easier. My Accord has a quartz leather interior and it just seems a little cold - ready for a change I guess. Who knows what I'll end up with.

We bought WDP and love it - I have always enjoyed white cars and the pearlized finish on my TL is really about perfect - everyone who sees the car compliments Denise and I for our choice. I think Quartz may hve been a better interior choice, but, this one wasn't spoken for and fits 99% of our desires. I have never had a car that I like as much as this TL. 512 miles - almost ready to punch it - yippee!

If I could go back I would get a Silver TL instead of WDP. White still gets dirty but you cant really tell unless your close, on the upside you can pressure wash it and not have any water spots (black vehicles have this problem) Also I would get a darker interior the Parch. gets dirty real easily.

I was torn between SSm and AM. I originally wanted WDP but did dot get it since the black interior was not available. After much debating I got the AM TL...once I got it I knew I made the right choice.

No flames from SSM owners, this is just my personal preference.

We went with AM with ebony interior. Looks HOT on a bright sunny day!

I have the WDP and have received endless compliments on both the car and the color. I had a classic green/blue Camry prior to the TL and wanted a car showed less dirt and swirls. The white is an off white so you won't mistaken it for a cheaper economy car color. Actually silver hides dirt slightly better but is too common. I got the the Quartz interior to make it easier to clean. I have had the car for 2 months exactly today and have NOT needed to clean the inside with the exception of a light dusting for the black dash with a wet towel. My Camry was this color and stayed new after 7 years when I sold it. I had to special order this combo from the factory but it was worth it. The only downside of the WDP is that it may not look as shiney after yoru wash it, as compared to a darker color. But the ease of maintainance, less swirling, and ease of color match in the event you need bodywork all made the choice easy. But, ultimately, it's what looks best to YOU which matters.

Jrecufan, I came from an Accord, too...Flamenco Black Pearl coupe. That was a beautiful car, but a b!tch to keep clean.

I was afraid the Anthracite would be much the same hassle but loved the color. Turns out the AM hides dirt remarkably well. I don't think you could go wrong with either of the colors you're looking at.

WDP/parchment for me (my 2nd TL in this combination) but Anthracite was my 2nd choice and silver 3rd. I have to admit I like a low-maintenence car as far as keeping it clean goes and the WDP fits that bill. It also helps to keep things cooler in the hot, Florida sun. I think that WDP makes the TL look richer. In any event, color is a relative choice. Whatever you decide on, you have to be happy with it as far as looks and care.

I have the WDP with the quartz interior. Love the color especially the pearl shimmer that can be see at angles on the car. Quatz interior is easy to maintain as well. Whatever the color you choose as long as you love it and are happy...

IMHO, go with the AM.
You can use whatever polish/wax you want on a white car, but it never seems to show any depth as would a color.

Our WDP w/ parchment has received endless compliments. It boils down to your personal preference. AM is probably easier to keep clean/hide dirt.

Same here, WDP with Parchment. I get tons of compliments and it looks very classy.
