Is WDP with taupe a good color combo
#6
I too have that color with my WDP. its honestly a bitch to keep clean but when it is clean, its so classy, beautiful and baller looking, and the wood grain adds to the classyness. The ebony is too sporty. It all depends on what type of style your trying to capture. If you want sporty, get it with the ebony. if you want it VIP (style) or classy then get the taupe.

Before I bought my 08 NBP (black on black) I almost picked up an NBP with taupe. It looked GORGEOUS, BUT..i know is a bitch to keep clean. My dad's lexus is black with cream interior and he needed to clean the leather fairly often.
I'm glad I went with the ebony interior. I love black on black, but that taupe interior really was very classy.
If you're okay with maintaining the leather often then I suppose itd be worth it.

+1 for the taupe. As stated it is a bitch to keep clean, but well worth it when gleaming. There are accents of aluminum and wood grain with a black dash and steering wheel. Definitely baller. I love it. I've had black on black for years and now have WDP with taupe and I couldn't be happier.

Taupe doesn't get any dirtier than black .. and in fact shows the lint less. The advantage is you see the dirt and clean it where with the dark colors you don't notice it so you don't clean it .. and dirt is leathers worst enemy.
The Woolite & Water solution makes quick work of cleaning it .. I do it all the time.

I guess either way taupe or black its veryyy CLEAN. But you have to ask yourself do you want class or sporty? Black for sporty and taupe for class. I believe this is what everyone is saying...

Before I bought my 08 Navi/WDP/Parchment I wanted to go with the Taupe interior just for a change of pace from the same color combination on the last 2 TL's I've owned. I changed my mind after realizing that it would be harder to keep clean than the parchment. I would have loved Ebony but there were none to be had. That being said, other than the "keep clean factor" it's not a bad combination.

I agree. Ebony interior is definitely one of my "must haves" in buying cars. Especially on a WDP..parchement/camel interior just doesn't do it for me.

In my FX I had off-white leather... I think me and magic eraser became best friends, never ever again am I getting light interior no matter how classy it looks!
Though my 00TL was parchment...I took care of it on daily basis...it's all depends how much love you have for your car...

WDP+Taupe=HOT
i have WDP with taupe. its nice cuz u can see the contrast in the door. cuz the door handle is black. if u get black on black, it looks like one giant piece. with taupe u can see all the different sections and pieces in the car. besides i heard black creates an oven effect when the car sits out in the sun. its like wearing a black t shirt under the sun, u feel hotter. i dont understand how anything other than the floor mats get dirty. what are u guys sitting on b4 u sit in ur car? maybe if u eat food inside ur car, yea, but u realli shouldnt be doing that esp. in a luxury car.
anyone have the beige interior?

i have the taupe, and the people who cant keep it clean or complain about it getting dirty must be pigs...i have had it for a year, and it looks brand new...
taupe is not parchment....taupe is almost a light grey...i personally would have rather had the black and silver, but i am liking the taupe so its all good, just dont get brown...
