For all of you out there that noticed a difference on the WDP between the bumpers and the sheetmetal, I would be more upset after what I noticed.

Yes, I have seen brand new TL's on the dealers' lots where the shading is different between the bumpers and sheetmetal. Yes, I agree there is a flex agent that added to the paint, etc. and I took this as acceptable....there's going to be a difference between the two.

My wife's GX470 was in for routine service the other day and the loaner was an '05 ES330 in Pearl White Metallic. The paint between the plastic bumpers and the sheetmetal was a perfect match. C'mon Acura, that proves right there that it can be done. And it's not like I was looking at the paint on a $70,000 LS430. The ES costs the same as the TL. Why shouldn't Acura's paint be as good??

 

This is what I've been thinking for a while. Luckily I have an AM and the bumpers match, although this is the same reason I am scared to get the ASpec body kit.

 

Lexus, big deal, I had a 96 Maxima in pearl white, the bumpers matched from day one and still do (a friend of mine has my old car), shame on Acura for not getting them to match.

Some say they are painted by the bumper maker, even then, it is poor qualtiy control to blame, there is no reason they can not have control samples that the bumper has to fall between.

 

Took delivery of WDP w/ Parch on 8/24 - no bumper color issues here..

 

My friend's Hyundai XG350 and his old Sonata both had pearl white and the bumper and body matched perfectly.
