How hard is it to get this combination. I ordered mines at the end of Jan and my dealer tells me I will get it around May 18. Does anyone else have this car and how long did you wait for it. My dealer tells me this is the HARDEST color with these option to get, is there any truth in this ??? He tells me that Acura has to built this from scratch. Please give me your opinions.

 

A local Dallas Dealer had one in the showroom for numerous weeks back in Nov/Dec time frame, had a hard time geting it to move. I wanted it but had to wait for exact combo yet w/auto.... Sometimes I miss "the stick"...

I live in NY, I brought the car from Montclair Acura in NJ. Not saying they are a bad place to get the car, just wondering if there is any truth to what he is telling me

 

Jcxny: As you know i'm waiting for my Anthracite/ebony 6speed navi from Montclair. I called them up last week to ask for my build date and I also asked if there are any other 6speeds being delivered soon and they told me that there's a WDP coming in may.

Sounds like bullshit to me. The Deep Green Pearl in a 6MT w/Navi is the hardest to get. Only 1 of those was made for the Northeast in March and only 15 are being made right now for April for the entire country. And they make lots more whites than greens. Ordered mine at the end of Jan and its being shipped from the factory within the next few days. I originally called Montclair and they quoted 2 months. Yeah, right... I don't give a flying fvck what they tell you or how rare it supposedly is, 3 months is the maximum wait time right now for any combination. Let me guess, did they also ever hand you the line, "That car doesn't exist" ????? Wouldn't be surprised if they probably got one ahead of yours and sold it for a higher price. Now, was saving a couple of hundred bucks or so really worth trekking all the way out to Montclair from Corona, not to mention this ridiculous wait?

Give my guy at Curry, Anthony Meed in Scarsdale a call toll free 866-491-1024, xt 104. He just might surprise you. They're a heck of a lot closer to Corona Queens than Montclair, NJ.

As I've stated in posts months ago, if you're going to base your decision which dealer to do business with solely on price, you may be 'asking for it'.

 

Who knows,but sure I will give your guy a call but I dont want to wait another few months for the car.
