Ways Around Tinted Windows

So yea the township likes to make a lot of money off of me and my limo tints. I usually pay them off and brush it off, got 13 tickets in a month once, straight up ridiculous. But now theyre making it a mandatory court appearance to show that I had the tint scraped off. If it was another township Id just get it untinted/retinted, but I live there and they make a killing off of bs traffic fines since theres no crime whatsoever. Anyone know of any solutions to me keeping the tint? Anyone know what would happen if I got a ticket after appearing in court and having them removed? Btw Im in NJ, I was gonna declare residence in PA but insurance for me alone would be $4k/year, due to my "spirited driving."

You need to suck it up and accept it. I know it sucks, I use to go to Rutgers Newark and though my car had NY plates I use to get shit all the time, so I know how it feels. Go lighter on the tints so that you aren't that noticealble, I'd say go with 20 or 35's.

Also invest in a radar detector or be a little more careful of your "spirited driving" because usualy cops dont pull people over for tints, its most likely for something else and while they got you stopped and see your 19, Tints are a "accessory ticket".

I hate jersey too so I feel your pain.

Nah trust me man, they do pull you over for tint. Me and 03 Bl ack Ac Cl on the forums were chilling, gettin food, and we were circled 4 times in a parking lot, the guy left, and when I was about a mile away from my house he pulled me over. I mean he chased me down all the way there. And waited about 1/2 hour at that. I mean arent they supposed to be catching the drunk drivers and the guys who arent supposed to be on the road? Or are they just trying to meet the quota with bs fines. Ridiculous. I was thinking about getting a doctors note of some sort, my friends brother had something along those lines. Was just wondering if there was any other alternatives. I go to Rutgers NB, I dont get bothered at all. Drove past 5 cars the other day they didnt even bother looking my way.

MN = 50% tint... cant be worse than that...

Try running 5% rears and 50% fronts- that looks like any normal factory front tint and works fine

Dress/Drive like a gangster or drug dealer- expect to get looked at

Keep showing up in court and the Judge can issue you a CONTEMPT citation (read: jail)because its obvious you flaunt/have no respect for the townships law.
Window tint laws are about the Officer being able to see race of, number of occupants and any furtive movements like getting a gun out

So its not BS when they keep pulling you over- when you keep repeating the same offense!

Went to my doctor and told him I was sensitive to the sun and he told me to come back the next day to pick up my letter stating I needed tint. Cop pulled me over, handed him the note, and said have a nice day.

I have my tint pretty dark too, not limo though.

With doctors note they can't do anything. Even if you got all 5 tinted with limo.

The friend I was referring to earlier, got a note from an optometrists saying that he had a growth on his retina or something, and that his eyes were really sensitive to sunlight. I would guess by the way sandiego said it, that he went to a dermatologist, but Im not sure. I thought you guys didnt get bothered for tint out in SD?

no use,
the tint law in PA is 70% front, 70% rear...the most strict in the US
what the hell is the point of 70% tint. i would rather have none at all than waste the money. but i think the TL factory windows are tinted 70% but i could be wrong.

Maybe so, but they dont get bothered whatsoever. Everyone up there has 5% all around, and they dont get bothered. I drove in the suburbs past a few cars and they dont bother with that nonsense. Besides, having no front plate is legal up there Which makes the car look that much better and its one less thing that they can beam their radars off of

I got pulled over for my first time ever last October, and it was just for my stupid tint. The cop let me off with a warning and told me to take the fronts off. Instead of getting hassled again, I did what he said and just left the back 3 windows on. I miss my 35% all around, but it's better than being hassled over and over again. Plus I wouldn't have passed inspection next year with them on anyway, so....

regular general physician actually. Was in the doctors office for about 5 mins tops. My exact words were, "I need tint all around my car, my skin is sensitive to the sun" and that was it. He said he never seen that in my file, but if it bothers me then I need it. So he had his secretary right up a letter stating I needed tint on my car.

I've only been pulled over once in almost 2 years now. So its not that bad here in San Diego.

This... is true... Although he managed to find no reefer, nor did the rest of the police force, literally 5 cars pull me over for tint, he did manage to get my wallet lost. But of course no offer to search for that was made...

It's an excuse for the cops to pull you over and check you out for other sh!t. I say lighten up the tint and give that a try. In Illinois where I live it is illegal to put any level of tint on your front windows. I've had tint on my car since I was 18, and have only gotten pulled over once when I was a lot younger because I was on the road at 3am, and I think the copper figured he had an excuse to pull me over to see if I was drinking. I actually woke up really early that morning to go somewhere had not been drinking. He asked me about the tint and I just played stupid... that usually works. Since then I've never had a problem, but I don't look like trouble, so I don't get trouble (I think it was it boils down to). I'm not saying you look like trouble, but you're a younger dude, so you probably look like more trouble than me (especially with the limo tints). I don't see what kind of wheels you have too, but if you're all bling-bling that is putting another target on your back also.

If you are going to drive with tints because careful if you've been drinking at all because it's an excuse for a pull over and a field sobriety test.

For all you who think it's that easy, doctor's have to take something called the hippocratic oath, which states,

"I swear by Apollo, Æsculapius, Hygieia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability and my judgment, the following Oath.
To consider dear to me as my parents him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and if necessary to share my goods with him; To look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art if they so desire without fee or written promise; to impart to my sons and the sons of the master who taught me and the disciples who have enrolled themselves and have agreed to the rules of the profession, but to these alone the precepts and the instruction.
I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.
To please no one will I prescribe a deadly drug nor give advice which may cause his death.
Nor will I give a woman a pessary to procure abortion.
But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts.
I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners, specialists in this art.
In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves.
All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal.
If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot."

Basically they can't just hand prescriptions out left and right. For those who do, they can lose their license, etc.

I hope for all who did get prescriptions, that they did perform some sort of test or something, b/c it's fuckers who don't who make it hard for people who REALLY want to become doctors to make a good living. Sure, doctors may get paid a lot, but for those going into private practive, a LOT of their money (30-50%) goes towards insurance, to fend off malpractice.

Word. Lol ok I have a story while were at it. I just got back to my dorm. I went home to pick up my phone charger cause I forgot it when I came back to the dorms on Sunday. I hop off Route 18 and Im on the main street to my house and a cop makes a u-turn in mid day on a busy road, so of course Im thinking - Im f*cked. I turn my hazards on, pull into a development and I get surrounded by nothing less than SWAT. So apparently some black Acura was radioed in doing over 110 on Route 18 (a 45 which much later turns into a 55 and eventually turns into a 65). So I said - "theres more than one black Acura on Route 18, and thats its a good thing that in this country you cant be incriminated purely on circumstantial evidence with no radar printout nor eye witness" So after every patrolman took turns reading my abstract on the computer, she rewarded my intelligence with an unclear plate ticket (even though I had my plate on my windshield) and a tinted windows ticket. I find it hilarious because this is the 3rd time that the MOMENT, literally moment that I get back into my township I get pulled over. I also told her I had gotten both of these tickets less than a week ago and that I had a court date for it but she still felt the need to issue me these tickets. Good thing there was backup
