WOW. Looks like it really really needed a change! i ordered 3 the other day but 2 were correct and today i received my replacement ATP ha-5 charcoal activated filter and guess what! it wasn't the correct one again. i got them from rockauto and after calling them they said they dont have them in stock and thats why they believe im getting the wrong filters. ABP04TL and Mac4rmthebackoftheAc got the last two ATP-HA5 filters and now im shit out of luck. got a refund tho got to find them somewhere else.

Hope you enjoying that fresh air!!

BUGGSS!!!! Yup, they get in when you use the outside air. It's been like that on every one of my cars current and previous.

For those of you looking for the HA-5 Filter, Amazon has it http://www.amazon.com/ATP-HA5-Cabin-.../dp/B000C8T96Q

Its 22.14, free shipping if total order is 25 or more

try your local parts stores for filters!

you can buy activated charcoal in capsules at the drug store
Its used for relief of stomach gas pain, (absorbs gas= excellent drinking remedy) and they give it to OD patients in the hospital to absorb toxins from the stomach before pumping it if still needed after charcoal- that stuff works!

Open a few and rub into the filter paper--instant charcoal filter~

the book calls for a new cabin filter every year- look it up and see what else is due like brake fluid flush- start at beginning of year 3 then every year forever-very important

the dealer charges $120.-150 for this cabin filter job,,,simple diy!!!!

for examples or really dirty filter see gen2 on same subject---100k miles 7 years before some of them knew...

check your new one in 6 months and see whats in the air

Are they going to get more ATP ha-5 filters? Or are they no longer carrying them?

Does it matter how often you use your air/heater?

For example in the summer I prefer to drive with my windows open than with the a/c on, so do I still need to change it as often as someone who has their a/c on all the time?

Most cars don't even have a cabin filter, so I'm wondering what would happen with those bugs then? Do they just come through the vents? Becuase I don't recall any bugs shooting at me through the vents as I was driving in any of my previous cars.

Will that really work? I actually have some activated charcoal capsules and the filter Rockauto sent me is not charcoal.

Yeah, but you didn't have a family of mice living in your HVAC ducts. I found about 4 cups of cat food on top of my filter!
