Washing The Tl

I picked this up on another forum. After you`ve finished washing the car and you are ready to wipe the car off, take the nozzle off the hose and hold the hose over the car. The full amount of water coming out the hose will actually pull the remaining water off the car and you`ll have less water to wipe off. I tried it and it really works!!!!

I Like Rain-X. When you are going along in the pouring rain you don't even need the wipers as the water blows over the top of the car. Does anyone know of a product that lasts longer? Thx.

By doing what I suggested above, there is practically no water left on the car. Then I wipe the remaining water off with the CA. blade.Very Easy.

Careful with RainX. I hear it can damage the rubber seals around the glass in the car. Same thing for the wipers. I use Klasse for waxing my car and it also has the same effect as RainX (no wipers in rain) when applied to windows and windshield. Lasts for 2 months for me!

I dont trust the california water blade because if your not careful and something happens to get on the finish before you go to wipe you can have a scartch on the clear coat....the best method ive seen is using a leaf blower or compressed air....it gets the water out of the cracks as well as off the finish and your done.

1. DON'T use detergent wash your car. It strips your wax and can damage the paint. DO use a real car-wash liquid such as Zip-Wax or Zaino's Z-7.

2. DON'T use a pressure washer. It grinds the dirt into your paint, sandblasting it. and damages your rubber seals. DO use low pressure, such as the open hose end, or even better, a "fan-spray" attachment from the garden shop.

3. Use ONLY 100% cotton towels for drying, Poly-Cotton scratches your paint.

Scratching the clearcoat can happen if anything gets between the paint and what your wiping with. I use it (CA Blade) right after I wash the car down so it's rare that anything is going to get in-between...it really does work great.
