Warranty Service
I'm new to this forum and started reading up on historical posts. After reading several posts here, I am under the impression that warranty service needs to be provided by the dealer that your car was purchased from. Is this true?
The dealer that I am getting my car from stated that the Manuf. Warranty (4 Yr/50K Miles) is $0 Deductible and I can go to any Acura Dealer for service under such warranty. I just wanted to make sure that I am getting the right info from them.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

is it Zero Deductible also?
The dealer that I am buying the car from also told me that they would put it in writing that I could extend the warranty to 5 Yr/75 K Miles for $945 with Zero Deductible. Is this a good deal or should I pass on it or try to get them to match a different price?

Pass on it. The original manufacturer's warranty (4 year, 50k miles) is $0 deductible and covers just about everything.
The extended warranty is usually 7 year 100k miles and is sold for anywhere from $900 to over $2800. The best one is through Acura ("AcuraCare") and covers _almost_ everything, but no fit and finish issues like the manufacturer's warranty does.
At $945, the warranty they're selling you really should be 7 year/100k.
