Should the parking brake squeaking/making noise be covered under warranty? (The noise is when you pull up the parking brake to engage it)

I originally told the dealer about it before the warranty was up (46k miles), but have it in for service again now (51k miles), and they agree its making a noise now, but the price to fix it is going to be around $250 because they have to take apart the complete rear brake assembly.. Does that sound right? Is this considered a "wear" issue?

Any inputs appreciated.

If you brought it up with them at 46K miles I would think they should take care of it under warranty.
