Hi,

The dealer charged me 1900 for an extended warranty of 7/100K. I found it online for 965 from this site:

Is there any downside to buying warranty from this site? Is it different from what the dealer sells? I guess I will cancel my dealer warranty and buy it online if there is no difference.

 

The same thing happend to me, I bought a 7yr/100k for $1665 and then afterwards found the site you listed (which is the lowest priced) along with others

...when I went to the dealership to cancel the contract, my sales rep sat down with me and called Acura extended warranty people and said that Acura Corp. does have dealers selling extended warranties, you just have to make sure its Honda/AcuraCare (which these guys all are)...I came home and made sure it was all the same, which was confirmed, so basically I'm just going to go to my dealer some time this week and cancel it

...you just have to go to your dealer fill out a extended warranty cancellation form which they will fax to Honda/Acura US people and they'll process it within couple business days and then will take a couple more business days to process a check which will go to Honda Financial or whoever you're financing through

...you can only buy the "new" extended warranty once the cancellation (first part) has been processed

 

Thanks for the information. Can you just go to the dealer and get your stuff done same as the way you would with the warranty that the dealer sells you or is there more hassle involved (getting reimbursed and stuff) with this cheap warranty? From the web page I get it like this is the exact same thing as what the dealer sells but I wasn't sure if there is any catchas...
