I have an 07 type s and the 4 yr warranty is almost over.......... My question is what should i have the dealer look at and what are common problems? My car has 37k miles right now which isnt that high. Only problem right now is the ind dealer told me my cz boot was leaking. Thanks for the help in advance guys. Just wanna stick it to the dealer before warranty runs out.

Isn't the transmission and the engine warrantied longer than that? Something like 70,000?????

so whats covered in the 4yr/50k warranty. im thinking i should have gotten the extended warranty

4/50 is everything, bumper to bumper.

Example: Your power windows stop working. It's covered under the 4/50 warranty. It's not a powertrain component, so it's not covered by the 7/70 warranty.

Is the 7/70 warranty applicable to all 3G's? Or did they only do that for the type s or only all 07-08.

Whoa..... The Acura powertrain warranty is 6yrs/70,000 miles. It's 7yrs/100k if the car is Acura Certified Pre-Owned.

You can still buy Acura Care before your 4yr/50k expires....if you want peace of mind.

You can also spend $100-$150 and have the service dept. perform a quasi certification
check of items not covered by the powertrain train warranty like suspension arms, ball joints, idle vibration, a/c cooling performance, power steering rack leakage, fluid leaks, etc...

Well, if you don’t know of any item that needs repair, except the CV boot, I guess you could have them inspect the car when it’s in the shop for the boot repair. There are items that aren’t covered under the warranty e.g. brake components.
