Wards report has Acura stunned...
....but I'm not, when you consider the preponderance of rattles, tranny, and other issues you see cropping up here on the TL board alone.

And before anyone rips Consumer Reports -- CR is a good mag. It's not an enthusiast mag -- don't get a reliability based pub mixed with a car lovers pub.
In short, I'm someone who filled out the survey for consumer reports on my TL. I have a first year TL, purchased mid VIN run in 2004. I live in Chicago and thought the FWD would be better than the RWD of the 2 door G35. If you check my posting history you'll see I've been rather consistent in my appraisal of my TL.
In short, it rattles beyond belief, has had numerous sunroof fixes, and while nothing has been downright terrible, it's not the car I expected in the least. And, yes, I did get the dreaded Acura tranny problem, having it replaced a few hundred miles short of being out of warranty.
It's a good car -- certainly not great. And I have no problems telling Consumer Reports or anyone that asks my feelings. I've given them numerous chances to fix the issues, but they never get fully resolved. I've been happy with the folks at Joe Rizza in Orland Park, IL (outside chicago) but I don't think it's in any service department's scope of practice to fix a car that has an interior with part-fit that is fundamentally flawed from the get go.
How much felt can you put in a car for chrissakes?
Is anyone else surprised / not surprised by this report?
