Want to use Zaino wax, my dealer tell me to wait 2 month?
Is everyone waiting like my sales man told me to? Or is it ok to wax before the paint is cured. Want to put couple coats of Zaino as soon as I can. Anyone been told to wait???

I haven't been told to wait. My car was built at the end of September, I drove it home 3 October, and work and the crappy Cleveland weather didn't allow me enough time outside to Zaino polish (not wax ) for about a month after. No paint problems except a blemish on the hood from where a box with adhesive tape hit my car on the freeway--the adhesive did a number on the paint in just one spot.

Forgot to say...the sooner you apply, the better. If you are serious about using Zaino on a brand new car, USE THE CLAY BAR FIRST to remove all dirt from the car. This is, of course, after using Dawn to wash any wax the dealer might have applied.
And yeah, box flew up from the road after another car hit it. There was no way to avoid it without causing a major rush-hour accident. Luckily, the box was empty.

Bought on November 20ish. Applied Zaino Early Dec. I also agree that you want to start the Zaino as soon as possible to protect the paint from blemishes that will detract from the high Zaino gloss.

It appears that the best is clay bar,Z-7 to clean, ZFX, and Z-2. (I am not sure if our cars are clear coat as I have not seen it shown anywhere, but they look like it). It also looks like Z-6 is 'required' as a final coat.
Please let me know how you did your cars?
Also, has anyone used Z-12 glass polish? I have an old car that I want to get looking 'new' and the glass is a bit worn.

2. Clay to remove all contaminents
3. Z-7 to wash clay residue off
4. ZFX with Z-2- I believe all the TL's are clear coats; check first
5. Z-6 to give it extra shine
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 twice more for the ultimate shine...I only did it once more; ran out of time and it was getting cold.
45 degrees is the min. temp.
lots of info about the correct towels to use, cleaning pad, etc. at www.zainostore.com

Rbraud,
You have great taste. I have an '04 TL Redondo Red and a '02 C5 convertible Torch Red/Blk 6 spd. It's real decision which to drive, however I live in Ohio there the C5 does not see much action in the winter. I am going to the Detroit Auto show in janurary to check out the C6.
