Anyone know where to get some good Acura TL desktop wallpapers?

I am looking for res 1440x900.... i cant seem to find any decent sites with those res's

i don't know any sites, but i'm sure some of us on here could create some...anything in particular you looking for?

...and I guarantee you'll find something you'll like. Be sure to check out the Google Images tab on the top of the page.

Hey Rimz - I love that avatar.........how the hell did you add the car eyes?
I want to try to add them to a pic of my TL so that I can frame it for my office........would be a real conversation piece....

 

Just go look through the 3G picture gallery and you'll find tons of pictures. FramedVision and sandiegotl (or something like that) have taken some real nice shots.

 

thanks man...i took the eyes off of the Dinoco car in the Cars movie along with the mouth...then just did a lil photochopping and voila...a car that should have been in the Cars movie was born...

yeah, i plan on printing out the high-res version of my avatar and framing it...

 

I thought those eyes looked familiar, having seen Cars about 100 times (four year old son loves it) Nice work.

thanks...yeah, my five year old son loves that movie also (what boy doesn't?)...his room has all the Cars characters wall stickers in it and i thought about printing out my avatar in high-res and putting it in there as well....probably won't though...

you know i actually thought about putting that line in big, Cars letters styling in my image...haven't done it yet, though...

anyways, didn't mean to hijack your thread fant0m_TL...like bretallica said, try searching Google...or RonJon has some nice pics of TL's on his site gallery...but like i said, just tell us what you're looking for and either or i or someone can probably create it...

 

LOL no problem at all. I was thinking about making a photoshop version of my car... but I dont have it yet I have to wait until Friday for the recalled part to be put in.

I'm a web designer so I'm pretty decent with Photoshop... I like the cars look on yours, I've seen a tutorial for that somewhere, if you want to do more, or see if theres more techniques, let me know, I might be able to dig that up for ya.

My problem is, While I am decent in photoshop, I dont know how to make a 1440x900 (19in widescreen - dual monitor ) wallpaper.

 

yeah, i've seen the tutorial for the Cars look...i can probably make something widescreen for you...resolutions can be a bitch, but my PowerBook 17" widescreen has about the same resolution as your setup, so i have to adjust sometimes...

i'm also a web designer (though the market sucks down here in Tulsa, OK)...i do mostly side jobs for now...i had to take a photoshop class for my web degree....and i didn't learn a damn thing...i've self-taught myself thru experience and various tips and tutorials on the web...

and to make things even more similar beween us; i grew up in milwaukee for 10 years before moving down here to Tulsa...

I dont have a degree...

but ive been doing it for 7 years now.... (since 6th grade). I would like to be certified!

 

yeah, it's definitely warmer down here...

i had to get my degree thru the local community college since no one else offered it...they have a 2-year web design certification or 4-year web design degree...i took the latter...i've been doing it since i was 15 and love it...i'll probably have to move to a bigger city to get a decent job doing it though...

 

That's pretty awesome that you guys are so into the web design thing. I wish I would have gotten into it earlier, because I know I would have been good at it...not to be conceited; it's just one of those things you just feel, ya know? I've only dabbled in web design, as I've only really "known" what HTML is for about a year.

Here are a couple little things I've made:

Mario Kart DS Page (first thing I ever made; I've learned A LOT since this one!)
My first attempt at a "real"-ish type "website"
A more recent little something for my grill project. I created the "A" logo with the gradation in Illustrator and Photoshop myself. Open one in a new window to see the detailed, metallic look a little better. They're only .gif files, so there's only going to be so much definition. The original .ai file looks way sweeter!

I've made all these on a Mac, but I'm always sure to double-check them on a PC before "publishing" them because as you guys probably know, Safari and Internet Explorer translate things differently.

Not to hijack the thread further, but I think we've already done that!

yeah, web design was something that just grew on me from the start and i haven't been able to stop since...when it came time to choosing a major in college, i went with business administration, thinking i wouldn't be able to make it in the computer world...after i had to take financial accounting, i switched my major to web design and realized i was better than i thought...

i'd show you some of my work, but most of it i've taken offline...one of my most recent projects was re-designing my employer's website...i try to stay away from using tables now, though, and just stick with CSS formatting...

anywho, unless there are any wallpaper requests, i think we can officially call this the wallpaper and creative design thread er something...

 

lol - yeah. that site is nice. clean cut.

I want to get my web design degree, but my college dosent offer it, so I am just going for IT.

I need to find a degree in that though because that's what I want to do with my life
