Red face waiting...

okee... so i put down my deposit in the first week of febraury i believe... and the dealer told me that i would have to wait till april to get the car so i've been waiting... hasnt been too hard... but i was just wondering did all of you who waited call your dealer to get an update like every week? or like once every month just to check up? i feel like nothing is happening...

Your dealer should be able to give you a build date on your car. Once the build date comes, he should be able to give you updates on it's whereabouts in the shipping line. Depending on where you live, it can take up to 10 days from factory to dealership.

i am waiting too....my dealer said 4-8 weeks for VIN number. does it take that long?

IMO, under the current system to distribute VIN#, it apparently works like this way. If your car is waiting to be built out of Ohio plant, "long waiting without knowing your proper VIN# in advance" seems very normal at this time.

But you should get it days before the delivery and have planty of time to work out your insurance.

i thought the car got a VIN# once it was started in the build process.
