I'm in the same boat. I just got back from the Acura dealer. My Nighthawk/Ebony 6-spd will be ready Wednesday night for pick up, but unfortunately I have to work. I'll have to wait until this Thursday early afternoon to take delivery of my new TL. I'm stepping up from a 2002 Altima 3.5SE 5-spd, my current car. Can't wait...

You think that's bad with the wait. My TL has been "on the truck" and only 10 miles away from the dealer since last Thursday, but has yet to arrive.

Yeah...no kidding! I put a deposit on my 05TL 6SP Anthracite Quartz about 2 weeks ago. Dealer has yet to find out when they will be getting it in. He gave me a ballpark figure of the beginning of December. Ugh!!! I guess I will have to continue to drool over TL pictures until then. The wait is killing me!

Is this at all unusual??? It seems I may have to wait longer than most???

Not unusual at all if you requested a specific color combo.

I picked up my NBP 6MT this past Saturday. My face hurts right now, because I haven't been able to stop smiling for three days now. 005858

As many are aware is the 6MT are heavily allocated. It is my understanding that dealers are only expecting two or three 6MT/month. Worse yet, if a dealer already has units on the lot - then there is a possibility that they will not get another shipment until they are sold... This could be problems for smaller dealers or if the dealer gets stuck with an off color combo because someone bails on them...

I would suggest that everyone make sure that their deposits (if you had to make one) is refundable. I would also make sure that you put your deposit on a credit card. This way you can get out of the commitment if you find the unit in stock at another dealer...

Good Luck people...

I put a deposit on a 05 TL 6MT/Navi on Oct 9th. The dealer told me it would take between 45 and 60 days to build and deliver. It sounds like we're waiting about the same amount of time.

Has the dealer given you any updates since you ordered? My dealer emailed me one week after ordering and said my order was in the system. I wonder how long it takes after your "in the system". Probably depends on the demand, which seems pretty high currently.
