Vsa
Vsa
So yesterday I decided for no reason to shut the VSA off and for the 1st time driving the usual route to the local video store I see on my trip computer "avg mpg 30"...there may be no relation in this but I was shocked and wished I had my camera to show this here today as I post.
Like I said before it was the first time I saw my "average" go above 26 mpg, now I know is an average and I base my mpg on gas vs miles driven from fill up to fill up and have been doing that on all my cars, any comments or similar experiences....and I'm also going to add that the car seemed easier to handle...(going back to my CLUTCH issues....unless it's snowing that button is staying OFF).

i don't think there is a relation between mpg and vsa. it should only kick in when it is needed. unless the power that it takes to run it is that much that the alternator has to work extra hard, which i doubt.
If you reset the trip computer (Total Time, Avg Speed, MPG, etc.), then for the first couple of miles driving you will get some strange numbers until the computer has enough data to make reasonable calculations.
