I just wanna know some opinions on these vortex generators. I installed them yesterday and I was wondering if other people have installed vortex generators as well. (please send pics)
ik she isn't very clean rn :\
Um...personally, not a fan. But, if it makes you happy, who am I to judge?
I'm judging because he explicitly asked us too lol
Looks funny to me. Have them painted to match or something maybe, get rid of the wing spoiler and get a smaller trunk lip spoiler as well as a rear window lip spoiler and it may look better.
I don't know, just my .04 cents

I actually added the wing, I really like it, but I really like the idea of painting them to match the color of the Acura. Honestly the Type S bumper is dope and I wish I had one. But I think it'll look better after I get a set of roof racks + cargo carrier

super weird looking on a stock looking car..
if the car had a body kit, rear diffusers on said body kit, an exhaust to complete the look, then yes.. there will be many many vortices generated.
I would argue there isn't a street legal car sold in America which would benefit from vortex generators. Said another way, pure and unadulterated look-at-me ricey bling.
Now, if you are trying to improve your Cessna 172's STOL characteristics, then vortex generators are definitely called for.
So obviously the absolute consensus is that they look weird and ricey. I agree, they either need to be painted or many other bits and pieces need to be added for it to not awkwardly stand out so much. Soon I'll get a body kit, rear diffuser, side skirts, remove mud guards, install roof racks, and lower the car. This'll be a fairly slow project since I'm 18 and money is very scarce for me atm. Thanks for the input, it helps getting other opinions on this. This community rocks .
Also, very random question, does anyone have any pictures or a link to a forum where someone has installed spacers on stock wheels? (or even just general advice on spacers for that matter?)
it's rice.... vortex generators are designed to make airfoils more efficient for their intended purpose. The air flowing over the TL needs no control since it's not going faster than highway speeds and it's not a huge honker like an 18 wheeler where aero impacts it. Doubt there is any air detachment that causes significant drag. And if there was detachment, the slope of the roof reduces freestream air meaning less air can be mixed to reattach it unless you have the right size generator reaching freestream air. If someone wants to make a StarCCM TL drawing it'll be easy to see how it won't help much with drag reduction. If anything, they make the car slower due to weight
