volume button on steering wheel malfunction

Hey whats up fellas,
Today while driving i went to lower the volume of the stereo using the steering wheel button, but instead the radio got louder. It was working fine like two minutes ago. When i pressed the up button it change the presets on the radio. The mode button also didn't work, it didn't change from fm1, fm2.

So I parked the car and did what i had to do. When I start back the car everything works fine. This ever happen to you guys or do you if there is some kind bulletin out about this.

I don't remember a bulletin, and I don't remember hearing about this before.

If you take it to the dealer he will say he can't find a problem. It is proably an isolated instance, maybe caused by static electricity or one of those crazy reasons.

I wouldn't worry about it until it does it enough to prove to the dealer what is happening, and then they can fix it.

Contacts might be bad. If it happens again go straight to dealer or video tape it if you have camcorder.

Today my steering volume control went nuts. Restarting the car didn't help. The down button turns volume up. Up button selects track. I disassembled the steering volume control. It generated different resistance output for up, down, and track select. (Radio volume knob works fine.) [Gosh! will the cruise control have the same problem!!!]. Dealer wants $100 to inspect problem, $30 for parts.
